Silent over-sized power supply for ws2812b LED lights.
Powers ws2812b LED lights perfectly. The voltage output can be tuned down to about 4.7 volts on mine. At 4.7 volts the Raspberry Pi 3's 3.3 volt signals are interpreted correctly for a 5m (150 led) strip. Assuming my collection of ws2812b LED lights will grow, I opted for this over-sized power source. I was happy to confirm that the fan only comes on when needed. For my low power consumption in a cool environment this power source is 100% silent. It does not come with a power cord. I cut the end off a spare computer plug, and attached to the provided terminals. I plan to use this for powering LEDs and as a bench supply for breadboarding. Thinking ahead I purchased power terminal connectors that fit my existing breadboard adapter, and used it's matching connector on both ends of my LED strips.

Great for ws2812b led strips.
Easy to use and works great. The only thing it could use is maybe a way to mount it. I placed down aluminum led channel and a tie down strap with staples to mount three of them to a board. The channel was so air could flow freely around the power supply. I have 6 strands and 2 controller being ran by them. Definitely recommend 18 gauge wire when running ws2812b continuous. I ran 22 on one side and 18 on the other. You can guess which side had voltage drop. Great product. I used a extension cord to power them by cutting off the female side.

Works well
Not sure about longevity yet, but it works well in the tests I made so far. Just wish the output calibration would allow to go a little higher than what it does now (max on mine is 5.6V). The reason for this is I had to inject 5V at distance over 6m. Since DC voltage drops over distance, I had to use thicker wiring to deliver close to 5V at the injection spot. If the power supply could allow to output slightly higher voltage, I would've been able to use thinner wires (wire size in this project makes a difference)

Solid PSU for overclocking
Highly recommend if you are looking to do some OC on a solo BTC miner. You need a little wiring know how and a couple tools, but a solid PSU. with 3 separate output terminals and 300W, you could defiantly run more than one device.

Solid well made good price
I purchased two of these back in January 2019. However one of them failed yesterday after 24/7 running since I received them. The second one has been online 24/7 since about February 2019. To be completely fair and honest, I want to say that I feel these supplies are very well built and very worth the money. I would and I will purchase them again and I have. The one that failed after 3 months was supplying 16 Small Board Computers that use a 5V 4A plug-in power supply. However, those SBC's typically run at 12W under full performance governor load so it's fair to say 12w x 16 units = 192 watts. The P/S is rated at 300W so those 16 units should be able to pull as much as 18.75 watts continuous. Voiding the warranty I took the lid off of it and one burned component RT1 was damaged from heat. Touching it with my fingers pretty much turned it into dust and fragments. However I will locate a replacement component and replace the burnt one and see if I can resurrect the failed P/S. In the meantime, I ordered two more of these supplies and I will connect one of them exactly as the failed one and we will see how it goes. Hopefully it was just an infant life failure of the Thermistor and the new supply doesn't fail and keeps on working. I'm an EE and I've seen a lot of shoddy boards and components over the years, however the quality of these supplies is quite good and respectable. I didn't hesitate to purchase two more.

Its what i expected!
I own a few of these Power supplies and I am happy to say they work great in all of the LED lighting projects Ive used them in. Sturdy built to last.

Save a couple bucks - just watch the size
These Alitove PSUs are good little units. A little larger than the frequently recommended brand, but you’ll save some bucks. If you are building a controller in an ammo can this will work just fine. If in a standard junction box, you may need to get a bigger box so you have room for all the gear.

Product is as described, but tens to run very hot at 60 amps ( curing smell coming from housing)

Quick delivery, install for led panel. Test for one hour no problem no hot. Good product.

Came dented in the corner of the frame. However the internal hardware were fine and not damaged

Arrived quite beat up from previous shipping, no protection other than a thin cardboard box. Should be packed in softer foam to keep free from damage. I would not want to use this in anything I was building for someone else, but is ok for personal projects not requiring long term reliability. I am using it to power all my ws2812b 5v LEDs, currently no more than 10A peak. The fan on this unit runs periodically depending on the actual heat generated by the current load. I’m not sure I would trust this beat up unit to provide 60A but I do plan on using about 30A peak eventually which should be a comfortable amount of power for this unit to provide safely without having the fan run at super high speed all the time. I have also since discovered another brand has a much thinner (3cm vs 5cm) housing with the same specs for easier concealing and leaving more space for other electronics in a case, so I would not choose this unit again.

It worked okay for a month or so. And now suddenly current capacity drops. Same LED Strip doesn't get enough power. ! Not it's more then a month so hardly I have any alternate!. I think quality is not up to the mark.
