Siouxsie And The Banshees: Nocturne [DVD] [2006]

I first bought this many years ago on video and recently bought it to re-enjoy its pleasures in better quality. Do I still like it? Absolutely - the rating of five stars provides the answer.IMHO, I think this is a great concert, superbly well captured. (Some people might say Siouxsie's 'dancing' is a bit mannered and irritating but , on balance, I'm not one of them). It's also interesting to see Robert Smith of The Cure concentrating hard on playing the guitar!One of the few concerts that can be watched again and again - and the closing song of 'Helter Skelter' is simply brilliant.As an added bonus, I found that the Special Features section contains a programme that I watched decades ago on television where each member of the band contributes to a separate 'short'. I remember enjoying Siouxsie's contribution - quite chilling - and regretting I wouldn't see it again. Well now I can see it; a Special Feature that's worth seeing.

I was lucky enough to attend one of these gigs and watching this brought back a lot of good memories.Biggest improvement on this release is the sound quality which is sharp and clear.The extras are fine also.Some other reviews imply that tracks have been left off.This is not the case as the c.d always had 16 tracks and the video 12.Overall its a great snapshot of a bygone era and its a pity there isnt footage of the late John Mcgeochs time with the band.

Very pleased with my purchase from this seller!! Prompt delivery given the busy postal time of the year! The dvd was a Christmas present and the recipient was very happy with it!

I was really looking forward to this dvd release as it said it had the complete 16 track's on it,however it has not it just has 12.Ommited are 4 essential song's "Paradise Place","Dear Prudence","Slowdive",and"Happy House" but why,why,why???.This is the only disappointment but a huge one at that as the concert itself is brilliant.This is much better than the "7 year itch" dvd where u can't tell what Siouxsie's singing because the vocal sound isn't clear,here it is clear,just like the brilliant Dreamshow dvd which if u liked,u'll like this too.The filming is shot much better than "Itch" dvd too where the camera focuses on each band member or the band collectively for length's of time and doesn't irritatingly shift every few second's.There's only one promo video on this not 4,though i don't know why that was particually included.I would have given this 5 star's it's so good had it been inclusive of the full setlist.A great buy though nonetheless!.

I love the band and the gig for what it is but the footage quality resembles a bootleg. Really Amazon you should know better than to sell poor quality videos.

DVD has been sent back to U.S.A. as it had multiple scratches. Nocturne is an excellent Siouxsie DVD & the extras are brilliant nostalgia memories.

Un concert fascinant, envoûtant, le son est puissant et précis, la lumière et les couleurs parfaitement restituées, le show spotlights s'accordant avec la magie qui s'opère, l'ambiance est à la fois froide et prenante, sensuelle, profonde, chaotique et incroyablement énergique, chaotique et charmante en même temps ; Siouxsie nous submerge, les musiciens et le chant sont parfaitement ensembles pour des morceaux d'anthologie extrêmement énergiques, violents ou sinueux, obsessionnels qui vous donnent le frisson- l'atmosphère de ce concert est étrange, la gestuelle, les expressions corporelles saccadées et agiles de Siouxsie qui disparaît et réapparaît derrière les spots, les avalanches de contrastes et de lumières, puis de black out sont saisissantes- Siouxsie nous entraîne dans une féerie en forme de cauchemar, ce concert est très très impressionnant- grande fille envoûtante, sa voix nous glace et nous ensorcelle, cette fille est loin, loin dans la perfection sur scène, il s'y passe quelque chose de bien au-delà de tout ce que l'on a pu voir et , j'insiste, la remasterisation de ce concert exceptionnel où tout a été réglé au millimètre (gestuelle, morceaux comme showlight) donne un spectacle DVD de qualité bluffante tant visuelle qu'acoustique, dans une ambiance symbiotique /

Adoro a Siouxsie and the Banshees y este dvd es imprescindible, la remasterización es un poco pobre debido a la fuente devideo original, aun asi merece la pena y los extras son un lujo.
