Had 2 scanners both stopped working
We have ordered two of these. The first one died after a few days. Now the second one won't work after a few weeks. So hard to get the software to work and a headache once it decides to quit working. Do not recommend. I hesitate to even ask for a replacement to have to go through this again.

Small business, or self-employed. You need this.
we have tried many scanners in the past and this one is perfect. It’s the most accurate we’ve ever owned. Easy to use, easy to set up, and connect to any program that you’re using. Well worth the money

OK product but bring back CardScan
Product works OK. Set up was easy. As a business card scanner it is sub-optimal compared to my old Dymo CardScan 600 with 2005 era OCR technology. Bought the Ambir as CardScan no longer sold and old versions no longer work with current gen Outlook and Google software. Ambir scan functions work but capture of card data requires significant editing compared to the old CardScan. Much of the data is placed in the wrong categories. Total time from card insert to save is slow when running a batch of cards. Bottom line - product is OK as there are few options in the price range. Since Dymo no longer makes the CardScan Ambir should buy the old Dymo technology, tune up and rebrand as an Ambir CardScan 600. I’d buy in a heartbeat.

Lots of "workarounds" required; worthless for international data
It took 30-40 minutes of tech support to get it sorted that we had to redownload the older ("Classic") version of Outlook, as the scanner is not compatible with the current version. Once we finally got it connected, other issues came up. It could not find the pathing (contacts) in Outlook, though trying the same things several times eventually worked (not the direct connection feature to upload directly to it; that never worked, so we were told to export to .CSV files and then import them as a workaround). Finally getting into it, the scanner is fast and it produces quality images of the business cards. For the automatic scanning and inputting of information, it is also pretty accurate. It struggles with light text on dark backgrounds, but I found myself having to edit maybe 1 out of 10 cards - this is where all the stars from the rating come from. Most importantly (and most disappointingly), not only can the scanner not read and auto-input international phone numbers/email address, but - for some reason that is beyond me - the software won't even let you submit an international number or email domain if you manually type it in (it rejects it, saying the format of the number is invalid). So, unless your contact list is 100% domestic to the US, you'll find yourself doing multiple work arounds to get it actually connect and upload, then just putting emails and phone numbers in the notes section of the contact (completely defeating the point). Tech support said that another workaround was just to put everything in 'notes.' Very disappointing.

Does Not Work
Does not work as advertised! Will not work to scan to new MS Outlook. Tried to scan in CSV format and device would not scan accurately and would only scan 8 to 10 cards before overloading. RETURNED!

Terrible
I tried multiple times to get to work and never could. Returned.

Space Saver
My husband collects business cards like kids collect germs and we have shoe boxes full all over the house. I ordered this to attempt to subjugate those little paper rectangles. It was easy to install, and so far, so good. Scanning is relatively quick and easy. Accessing the information on the computer isn't as intuitive for him as I was hoping it would be though, and instead of getting rid of cards now we have the information in the cloud and in the closet. But the scanner did what I needed it to do even if he didn't.

Easy to use
If you are looking for a scanner with software for windows, this is the one. It takes less than a minute to scan my customers ID and works properly. Installation is super simple and all cords are included. Definitely great product.
