Stay away from this set.
It's a travel game but it would be a mess w/o magnets. The dice are tiny and directions would have been a helpful addition. It's lucky I know basic rules. I don't know the more advanced and why are the checkers black? This is NOT how it was described. I'm very disappointed with it and as quite expensive. It's disappointing.

Good quality wood chess
My kids are really appreciated that I found this classic wood chess for them to spend their time during this Quarantine. The quality itself is good and doesn’t have a smell on it. My kids so enjoy it to play with each other.

Their Customer service cares about the product.
The product arrived damaged. The wood is low quality and the paint job is messy on the backgammon side. The chess board is acceptable but doesn't lie flat. The pieces are good though.Customer service has agreed to send me a new one to make up for the issues. I'll update this again once I recieve it.

Meh. I’m just tired of disappointing my kid.
Board was defective. Had another sent sent and it had the same exact problem. Idk if it’s a manufacturing batch error or what but I’ll be going with a different set.The pieces seemed solid, and the overall quality of the board was okay for the price but it was was unable to be played on due to the defect.

Holds up well considering it is well loved.
The checker pieces I feel are a bit cheap but other than that, great product. Things seem to break fast at my house with 3 rowdy boys, but this is holding up well! It is their favorite game. I would give it 5 stars for travel if it were magnetic which it's not.

solid set, checkers pieces are small, but it all bundles up nicely for packing away or traveling. nice wood finish
