So effective!!!
Zinc acetate is the most effective form of zinc! This stuff is a lifesaver during sickness season. As soon as we start feeling sick, we take it and allow it to dissolve in our mouths. It takes a little while for it to dissolve because they are quite large. But very effective! If needed, we take them every few hours and typically the sickness goes away very quickly. We have recommended this product to several friends!

Indispensable for parents
If you're a parent, you probably have a steady stream of viruses into your home (ie: your beloved, germ-carrying children). My kids get sick about twice a month. And life is like that Nyquil commercial, where the parents can't just quit or take a break. You need to stay well enough to care for everyone. These zinc lozenges really help keep all the symptoms to a minimum and make it so I hardly even notice that I'm sick. I found this after seeing a study that showed that this specific form of zinc can ward off a cold after only 3 days. It stops the virus from reproducing, so as long as you have it in your mouth, it puts the cold on pause. Despite the risk of choking on it (I never have), I put one in my mouth at bedtime to let it slowly dissolve overnight. It usually lasts til I wake up, and I finish it off after another hour or so. They do take a long time to dissolve. There are several things that might discourage the faint of heart from taking these. First, they really are huge--it feels like a horse pill. Second, they take away your sense of taste for a few hours. Third, they leave a residue and don't taste great (though they don't have much of a taste at all--just a little sweet and minty). I accept all these negatives, because to me, it's better than the sore throat, runny nose, stuffiness, sleeplessness and fatigue. My symptoms are hardly more than a slight soreness in my throat and maybe some phlegm. Sometimes I get a cough. But the zinc keeps the head cold away for sure. Definitely consider trying this if you haven't already.

Seems to work for Gum healing
I bought this to help with healing my periodontal gum area. As I started taking them , the gum infection started draining pus. I stopped after three days of two a day. As I lost all taste for several hours. I started again after three weeks. These seem to work. But by the time the full lozenge has dissolved, the tongue feels weird.

Tastes GREAT! So far ZERO stomach cramping from Zinc!
I will update if anything changes after taking only a couple of them so far, but I have to write a review to counteract the other *uninformed* reviews I have seen on this product on Amazon. Before I buy any product I do a ton of research, and Amazon reviews are a large part of that. What I need to "counteract" is the following: - Some people complain about the taste?? They taste GREAT!! I don't know what people's sense of taste is about sometimes with their fussy reviews on flavors, but these taste downright amazing. I have Salicylate issues so mint is really iffy with me. This mint flavor is a really nice kind of mint that I'm tolerating just fine right now. - This is a ZINC TABLET. ZINC can create a slight "drying" effect in your mouth. That's what ZINC DOES. To make a fuss about how the pill is doing this is downright immature and unreasonable if you ask me. I took a drink of water and it felt glorious and washed away the dryness. Big deal. Seriously people!! It's doing its job! Which brings me to....... - The size of the tablets. Like I said, I do my research first. I read these tablets are large for a reason. You are supposed to ingest the Zinc slowly, and having the tablet in your mouth creates an environment that kills the bad guys for about half an hour. That's the point of these. I am SO pleasantly surprised with these that I am glad I ignored the ridiculous reviews and kept on reading until I got to the intelligent ones explaining how these specifically work. - They taste AWESOME. - I am having ABSOLUTELY ZERO issues with any sensations happening in my mouth and, in fact, my mouth feels very clean and refreshed!! - I am taking these to lower my Copper. I read Zinc Acetate is best for this and that's what this product is. I also need Zinc for my eczema, and to replenish my lost Zinc from a lifetime of way too much stress. 2 tablets in 2 days (one a day for me) and I have had zero stomach cramping. Unheard of for me with Zinc. (If this changes I will come back and add it to my review). UPDATE 4/14/2019: I ordered a 2nd bottle! Still zero stomach discomfort with these. The random cuts on my skin are healing much faster and creating nice normal scabs vs. just staying "raw" for forever. Flavor is still enjoyable and I realized it's a sort of candy cane type of peppermint. I LOVE these and they are helping my health and skin, unquestionably. Wish they sold these in larger quantities since they are big and you can only fit so many in a bottle.

Awesome but horrible and a little dangerous
Makes zicam look like candy! These are HUGE. They take a long time to dissolve and taste horrible, but they are effective, maybe 50x more effective that most of the candy-like zinc lozenges on the market. They are also a bit dangerous. I once fell asleep with one in my mouth because it took so long to dissolve. Woke up in the morning it was still in my mouth, I'm lucky I didn't choke. I also completely lost my sense of taste for a good 48 hours (doesn't happen if you use as directed). But the cold was completely gone!

The size and density of these make them more of an un-chewable, hard to dissolve pill.
These lozenges are completely unlike their other, or any other lozenge I've ever seen. They are very large, like the size of a big toe. They have very little flavor, and kind of chalky consistency once melted. They don't readily dissolve in your mouth and they are too hard to chew for the first five minutes or so. They are like a hard candy that's too big for your mouth. I do not recommend these.

Zinc Lozenges (HUGE)
As previously stated in other reviews the lozenges are HUGE and take forever to dissolve. The zinc (%) content appear to be good. However, due to the size of these zinc lozenges and the length it takes to dissolve I will not purchase again.

Only one with Zinc Acetate
takes a long time to dissolve (a good thing) and it contains the correct form of zinc if you are fighting a cold. ALL other zinc lozenges contain a less effective form of zinc for fighting colds. There is even one by this same brand that has the wrong form of zinc

Regardless of whether these are too big, chalky and take a long time to dissolve is irrelevant. They are extremely effective when taken at the beginning of a cold. They are great quality and do the job.

NGL this is the most putrid tasting zinc I've ever had. Cant even stomach 1 dose worth. Will be trying to return it if possible. Disclaimer - Maybe all Zinc acetate is like this
