what would you expect from Roald Dahl, my son loved it!
short, sweet and funny book, great morals and very good story. great value worth adding to anyone's collection. Read the book to my son (6) but he was able to read along and follow with me and didn't find many hard words. I loved the wording Dahl is known and for his imaginative phrases and other words he makes up as well as his original stories.

A brilliant book
The magic finger - by Roald Dahl - a Review by Laura Williams aged 6 (very nearly7)What is the book about?A little girl who had a magic finger she turned her teacher in to a ratty mouse and her next door neighbours into animals too.Who are the characters?Mr and Mrs GreggWilliam GreggPhilip Gregg and a little girl next door.Where is it set?In a pretty house. What is good about it?That the magic finger only does some magic on some mean people. It is a funny story which made me laugh. It had a happy ending. What is your favourite part? When she tells the story of when she turned her teacher into a mouse.Would you recommend this book?Yes I would recommend it because lots of little boys and girls who like magic might want to read it.

Classic book
my daughter is just getting into Dahl so was eager to explore this book.It has a moral to it, but the 'give you a taste of your own medicine' school of doing things did not sit well with her. Its nice to know that some of the younger generation believe this is not the best way to change opinions/educate?I think the paperback version is very expensive for a book that was read within 20 minutes at bedtime. She adores owning a physical copy so the Kindle download was not an option for us.

Rather short
I love roald Dahl books as this was a good story, just very short for the price. My 8 year old finished the book in 20 minutes so it really was a very expensive read.

Excellent introduction to Roald Dahl
My daughter is 7 and she loves this book. This is the first Dahl book she has read and I think we will be buying more in the future. It's easy to read with a captivating storyline. There's some lovely Quentin Blake illustrations so it's not all big blocks of writing which can seem daunting to early readers. Fast delivery. I would recommend this book.
