Love, love it. I can control it from the app on my phone and I have even linked it up to Alexa. I can tell Alexa to turn it on, to turn it off, and to put it on sleep mode which disengages the lights that distract me when I'm sleeping, all without leaving my recliner. It's extremely easy to refill, but 6L of water is hard to tote if you are frail or have arthritic hands. I use regular tap water although it would be better to use distilled, I don't have the room to store gallons of distilled water. You just have to be diligent to clean it regularly so as to avoid lime buildup--it will send a notification to your phone when it has run 100 hrs and wants to be cleaned. It will alert you when it's out of water and shuts itself off. It has a cool mist or you can choose warm mist, there are three levels of mist strength that you can choose. You can run it on automatic or manual adjustmentOn some occasions it makes a groaning noise on a higher setting but that's doesn't happen all the time, It's kind of temporary. Otherwise it is very very quiet. I will pleased with it and would highly recommend it. It helps stabilize the temperature in my house. when there's more humidity I don't feel like I'm cold one minute and hot the next. My dogs don't have static electricity when I touch them, which is great because they don't appreciate getting shocked from static electricity. And the humidity helps your mucous membranes from getting all dried out in the winter.

I just bought mine about a week ago and it has saved me in ways I didn't realize I needed for years. The push was with the recent LA fires and then in San Diego. The air quality was moderate—in the yellow–orange range and the dryness was intense. I couldn't breathe without coughing, my nose would start to water to counteract the dryness, sleeping became more difficult and there are other signs with skin, hair, and more. Then a week later I caught the flu or cold, and needed this humidifier to help. I'd say this machine has been working like a power house for the last 2 weeks or so. I haven't really turned it off since then, except for a few minutes here and there. It does an outstanding job. I've been using diffusers for years and they are too small with little power to be able to change the overall humidity of an entire room. This works great with or without the app. Cool mist is super quiet and awesome for nighttime so it doesn't keep me awake while warm mist is much more effective at increasing humidity at the expense of some noise. Even at 6 liters, on a super dry day (10-15% relative where I live) the tank empties really quickly and filling might become a daily thing.I don't really think cleaning is that tough like others complain. The parts come apart easily and seem to be built well. You definitely need to use distilled water though, tap water leaves dust immediately and quite a bit of it.I also tried the tray for the essential oils and it certainly works. I wouldn't consider this a replacement for a dedicated diffuser but I don't have any delusions about the 'medicinal' properties, I just it to smell nice. And for that, it works great.If you aren't going to use this in a bedroom where you want to have schedules for noise stuff and the like, I wouldn't bother paying the extra for the smart version. Just get the regular one and set it to automatically hold whatever you want.
