Excellent product. Keeps paint moisture and has a good mixing area.

My palette was delivered inside a strong Amazon cardboard envelope. It was also packaged inside a strong plastic bag so it reached me undamaged. The palette is made of thick, strong, ivory-white plastic. The item is made to full presentation standards because there is no flash round the edges. It is a nice product with lots of wells for placing the colour squeezed out of tubes; there are areas for paint mixing and areas for building washes. When used sensibly, this tool might outlast its owner. It is too bulky to take on lightweight sketching trips but it could be taken with you when your main purpose is to be out and about painting seriously. The palette is definitely strong enough to cope with travel.

I like this palette a lot. But it’s not airtight as advertised. I bought it specifically for its air tightness so my hand mixed colours (gouache, watercolour, and acrylic) wouldn’t dry out as quickly and I could keep them safe to do one painting in multiple stages. It doesn’t work for that but it’s still a great palette because there are loads of wells and spaces for mixing. It’s a little hard to clean (square cells are always harder to clean than round ones and plastic is always harder to clean than ceramic) but no more than any other plastic palettes with square wells. It’s hard to hold though while you’re painting and there’s no finger loop so it’s not really suitable for plein air painting or working at an easel unless you also have a table to put this on. I would still say this is good for travelling though because it folds flat and is a good size to fit into a backpack. But I would keep yours in a plastic bag if you’re travelling with it because it’s not airtight and so the wet paint could leak out if it’s quite thin/watery. I’m disabled so when I do plein air painting I have a drawing board/easel that sits across the armrests of my wheelchair and then I have a little folding stool where I put my water jar, palette, and spare brushes so it is fine for me. But if you’re going super streamlined and using Viviva Colour Sheets and those brushes with water reservoirs but you want a larger space to mix colours than the colour sheets come with this is not the palette for you. You’d need a smaller size palette and a finger ring to hold it while painting. I’d still recommend it but you just need to be aware of and ok with its limitations.

Not used it yet, but it looks perfect for my acrylic paints. Loads of different size sections for mixing etc.

I bought this for my daughter and she loves it she said it is really good. The sections are nice and deep so the colours stays and not spill into the other sections.

This palette offers 6x large paint-mixing wells, 12x medium-sized and 24x smaller ones for the base colours, so it’s well designed and flexible with plenty of capacity to use a large range of simultaneous colours. It closes by simply folding it down the hinged middle if you need to take a break or to go out and return to the painting later. However, when closed it’s not really airtight and the paint will dry out after a couple of hours (or less). This is obviously not an issue for watercolours, which I almost always use, as you just add water to the dried paint and continue; but if you use other media like acrylics it could be a problem. The palette is easy (-ish) to clean as the wells are sloped and moulded with rounded corners, although the plastic material might become less shiny as it ages and wears and will never equal ceramic/porcelain for easy cleaning. You'll soon discover this palette should only be used lying flat on your worktable and is not designed to be held in the hand when painting, so if you like to stand up and mount your work-in-progress on an easel then you’ll need a rigid (i.e. un-hinged) design with ideally a finger/thumb hole. The palette is however very good value for its flexibility and usefulness.

Je l'utilise pour mes couleurs à l'aquarelle que je préfère acheter en tubes. Contrairement à d'autres palettes de ce genre que j'ai testées, les couleurs adhèrent correctement sur le matériau de la palette. Je peux donc refermer ma palette quand les couleurs sont sèches dedans, et la transporter sans crainte qu'elles se sauvent un fois durcies/sèches. J'utilise les 24 petites cases pour déposer mes couleurs de base et les cases plus grandes pour faire mes mélanges. Leur nombre permet de ne pas avoir à faire de la place en cours de peinture. Les cases plus grandes sont aussi très pratique pour les grands "wash" avec un grand pinceau large par exemple. Attention, ne convient pas pour utiliser avec des couleurs acryliques parce qu'effectivement la boite n'est pas complètement étanche. De la même façon, laisser bien sècher les couleurs aquarelles/gouaches avant de fermer sinon tout va se mélanger ^^

Tras varias semanas de uso y pintar varios cuadros, mis conclusiones acerca de la paleta son las siguientes: Buen tamaño para poder echar la pintura en cada departamento sin miedo a que se esparrame y/ o mezcle. Cierre hermético permite que puedas hacer un breve descanso mientras pintas sin miedo a que se seque la pintura, con cerrarlo es suficiente. Se limpia bien y no quedan pegotes tras lavarla, ni restos de los colores. Y por último tiene departamentos grandes para poder hacer mezclas en ella, la anterior que usaba no tenia esta opción. Para la gente que pintamos es muy importante poder tener todo junto ya que es mas ágil y practico. La he usado tanto para acuarelas como óleos.
