Do not buy this product
Purchased for £25 in march, degraded slowly towards its eventual death only a few months later in november, i was expecting better from such a good brand like Razer, problem was that the headset kept disconnecting during use and is now not recognized once plugged at all, making this product very obsolete, 9 months of use and dead. Will not buy Razer again.

For $35 bucks you get a really good quality headset, people that like more colorful sounds I have to say, maybe you're going to be disappointed since it has a flat sound EQ... So it's a really balanced headset making it really versatile specially for those willing to listen various genres of music on them, also the voices come really clear on movies and microphone is good with a decent ambient noise filtering, the band is really really comfortable and feels really sturdy, same can't be said about the cups that doesn't feel as robust and not vented at all so they get a little hot after a couple hours with them on, the cord is also on the fragile side and they are non exchangeable so if they break you have to throw all away. The package is impressive is beautiful and striking but I rather a simpler box but a exchangeable cord or at least a nylon braided cord maybe... All and all it's a great cost effective headset, with great looks. So far I'm really happy with them.

I bought this headset in early August, I didnt recieve it (I have prime so I had two day shipping) until August 27th. Before the first of October the mic started to die on me. Now every couple of hours i have to unplug it and replug it and reload my audio drivers to get rid of the robotic voice effect it turns into. TLDR Sound quality is pretty awesome. Looks cool I guess. But took a couple weeks to arrive and barely lasted a month before it is starting to buy. I would not buy unless it is on sale for incredibly cheap as 90$ is to much for me to be happy with spending for a month of the product functioning at 100%. Btw, I'm one of those anal people who take great care to keep their things in their best condition, it wasn't abused. Just shite quality.

TL;DR, this is a decent headset for the price. The factors for a 4 star rating and not 5 are: -non braided cable -tad bit uncomfortable -above average/below exceptional sound quality Other than that, this is a very well rounded, stylish, and great headset. I would recommend. The very first thing that irks me about this headset is it does not have a braided cable. For a $70 usb headset, a braided cable is not an unreasonable feature to have asked for. That being said, the build quality of the Electra V2 is great. The earcups have a solid but soft padding, and the plastic around the earcups are matte. I know many people avoid the depression/expansion (D/E) headband system, but I love it. I have found that this headset is better than most other D/E headsets. The headband does not want to automatically pull back and release the tension. It will stay where you put it. The headband itself is also very comfortable. The black aluminum structural band is sturdy and flexible. The microphone is what you’d expect for $70. The sound is better than some triple digit headsets I’ve used, it just lacks some compression. If you use a third party program to compress it a little, the mic sounds decent, unlike others might say. It’s really nice and convenient that it is detachable as I use the Blue Yeti microphone, even while gaming. However if I am on the go or simply do not feel like having a huge mic in my face I always have the Electra’s as an option. Comfort is okay, for me. My ears tend to get sore and I my other wish is the earcups were slightly wider and deeper. Other than that I am able to use this headset for a few hours at a time so it is not a huge drawback, but something worth noting. Sound experience is decent. This headset does a great job at higher frequencies, but lows to even mids can feel a little empty and shallow. If lows were a little more pronounced this would make for an exceptional listening experience. The blending of the ranges are there, the emphasis on lows are not. I’m not saying that it is bad by any means. I am just saying it’s not the best you can get for this price point in terms of audio quality. Finally Razer Synapse allows this headset to excell over other headsets at stock purchase. The 7.1 surround is automatically configured if using the USB version and it works very well. There are a few options for enhancing sound and the microphone straight from your system tray: no need to open the app. The only downside I could see for some people is the light is not RGB, it is only G. For my black and green setup, this headset fits right in.
