Very strong and good quality

I brought this lock by mistake as I am not yet experienced enough for spool pins. However a simple W rake did the business in a few seconds when I got fed up so it opened in the end anyway. I will go back to an SPP approach now I know I can get in using a less subtle approach. So still money well spent.

Did some research after getting a Tesla Gateway fitted, as it's on the outside of my home, and this will keep the latch locked from casual fiddlers, sized perfectly for that. However the latch is only plastic so I fear that would fail before the lock if somebody was determined to damage it.

As a Padlock 1 Star, As a Locksport training lock also 1 Star. Immediately beat it but hey at least I got my yellow sash. Oh it can be raked and comb picked too. Ease of Use: Zero stars - Do not use this as a padlock Quality: also Zero stars (it literally dropped brass glitter shaving on me opening the packet) Lock Functionality: Grinding with horrible tolerances - you guest it also Zero stars Master Lock, Please do better.

When i received the lock it looked OK and I tried the mechanism and it worked OK, but as it is for someone else the proof will be when it is being used regularly. It feel sturdy and well made and I picked it because of the maker Master Lock because all my own locks are by this manufacturer and I have necer had any trouble since I have been using them.

Easy to pick open,I bought this as a practice lock for locksport so that is what I wanted though, many beginners in locksport can open this padlock The lock is vulnerable to comb picking which means that it can be opened in a couple of seconds by anyone with a comb pick tool The lock has spool pins and standard pins Because of the fact that this lock is so easy to pick open, it can be picked in a matter of seconds, I can't at all recommend this for securing any valuables with it, this lock is pretty much just there to keep honest people honest, It is hard to give a lock like this a star rating because of what I wanted it for, if you want It to practice locksport then I would give it 5/5 and I would recommend it to any and all beginners, but unfortunately for security it would have to be a 1/5.

Slightly more difficult than the Master Lock 3 due to a smaller keyway and one safety pin, this is a pretty useful lock for people trying to get into lockpicking without too much frustration. I was able to open it in a little less than an hour on my first attempt (after only opening the Master Lock 3 and some cheap transparent "locks"). Would recommend to beginners, probably too easy for anyone more experienced. Also good for locking things you want to be stolen.
