I've previously dabbled with solar string lights, but they've all fallen short of my expectations. Either the light wasn't bright enough, or it wasn't lasting through the night. This set of lights blew me away. The first day I installed it was towards the end of the day, so it didn't get the full charge, but it went for 8 hours with no issues. I love that you can adjust the different light settings; the super bright mode is great for a gathering, while the bright setting is great for a low-key hangout, and the soft setting gives off a very dreamy summer night at the cottage vibe. I do wish they included a way to schedule when the lights can turn on and off by themselves, but for the price and quality, that's just a minor oversight.A few key takeaways from install to usage: if you order the two-strand version, make sure the configuration of the lights will work for you. The solar panel is in the middle of the two strands, rather than having the strands connect to each other, then to the solar panel. The other thing is the remote; it did not work right away for me, and I had to play around with the settings on the solar panel to get them to sync up. If you run into the issue of the remote not turning the lights on even with battery, you need to click "on" on the solar panel, then click "off" on the remote. Then, when you click "on" on the remote, it syncs up with the lights.

The media could not be loaded. ***Update***I really wanted to give these another chance before I sent them back because absolutely loved them out of the box. I thought I’d give it one more try and put the solar panel in DIRECT light where the sun would not fall in shadow from it. It now gets about 6-7 hours of direct, bright, unfiltered light and they are working phenomenally again. I’m sure this seems obvious but I did originally have the panel in a bright spot but throughout the day, sun would become filtered. If you can’t place the panel in direct light like this, then they may not work for you. If you are having any issues like I was, definitely try to move the panel to a sunnier place and see if that helps. So I am keeping them because they are great! I attached a new photo of the lights to show how bright they are.A user named Sally left a review that said:“Lights worked for 2 days now they won't stay on. Super disappointed. They'll work on the flicker mode, but all other modes they work for 1 split second then they turn right off.”I am currently having the same issue! They worked beautifully for 2 days. I loved them so much that I recommended them (and sent the Amazon link) to my mom, sister and friend!! Now I am on night 3 and they will not turn on although I live in Las Vegas and the sun is at maximum brightness right now in May. So what gives? I plugged them into a usb figuring I’d go that route and they only turn on for one second and turn off again! I am so happy that I saved the box because I am returning them tomorrow. What a HUGE letdown.

Update: they actually do work. I guess the solar powered battery wasn’t fully charged and only half the lights were working. I bought two sets and so far I’m loving them. They have three setting and have an on/off switch. So they don’t automatically just turn on… which I prefer. They also come with a remote. Shipping is super fast and the company even messaged when they saw my previous review when I thought half the lights didn’t work. Highly recommend.

What a fun and functional purchase! This solar-powered light and pole kit (pole kit purchased separately) has been the perfect complement to our porch and patio. The installation of the poles in my small rock and soil mixture was easier than I had expected. The tines on the base are long, sharp, and sturdy enough to ensure the poles stay in place. When the solar panel is in the "On" position, you get a nice automatic dusk-to-dawn effect, and the lights stay on for 5-10 hours, depending on usage. It also comes with a remote that is very handy, This was a great value for my money.

These lights are really nice and easy to install. I bought a second set to add on.Reason for not giving 5 stars is that my neighbors purchased the same set after me and installed in their back yard, while mine are installed in my front yard. I found when either of us turn on, turn off, or change any mode on our personal light set, it does the same function to my neighbor’s and my set. I like to use the remote to turn lights off late night to save on battery, however now I found out it turns their lights off too so I need to stop that. They were enjoying an evening party with their light setting on “blinking” so I had an evening of blinking lights as well.The lights are great, but not that the sensor picks up on same sensor as neighbors’ lights.

Love these lights! I have a pergola on my paver patio I installed them (easy) and they light up the evening perfectly. The convenient remote makes things easy as the solar panel is installed on a high beam facing the sky. The lights last the night so far. I highly recommend these solar light!

We used hooks from Amazon that stuck to our wooden fence very well. The lights are solar powered, comes with a remote, does light, bright and super bright with different modes like stay one color, flash and fade. Remote control works from inside our house to the solar panel which is impressive. The remote also has a timer on it which is awesome too. The lights were easy to set up also. Not heavy at all. We got the longest size.

The lights work great. Only giving 4 stars because I haven't found anywhere that they tell you the lights automatically come on when it gets dark. When I go to bed, I have to go outside and shut them off manually every night. Considering returning for lights that don't automatically come on by themselves when it gets dark.
