Outstanding value at first glance
Ok Off Grid, I see you. I bought both the Scandinavian grind and the full flat grind knives. I never leave a first impression review as a rule. In this case I will. I bought the updates Cryo D2 with the 90° spines. Highly impressed at the unboxing. I'm a knife maker myself and do my own Kydex as well. The only mod I feel like a need to make on both these is to add a ferro rod and holder. Both were hair Poppin sharp right out of the box, and I'm really picky on production knives. Love the shape and blade height and thickness. Feels solid and looks great fit and finish. These both will be used extensively. Will update is anything goes wrong. PS the Scandinavian grind is a zero gring like it should be, no noticable secondary bevel. Great job. They remind my of a Kephart knife

Awesome knife
Very sharp, handle feels great, great fitting sheath with a thumb push. Lots of knife for a great price.

Okay knife, handle is a little weird.
If I had it to do over I would have passed on the knife.

Bang 4 ur $$
$ for $, I'm not sure there is a better deal to be had on a knife of this size. The micarta scales on mine are immaculately finished. The 5" d2 blade has a phenomenal stonewashed full flat grind to go with maybe the sharpest knife "out of box" I have ever experienced. I wish that ogk still made this model in 14c28n, but it is what it is. I use it for edc, work, camp/bushcraft and it excels at all. Can't go wrong with this one @$59.

Not “Over Built”
This knife was VERY SHARP out of the box. Likely the sharpest fixed blade I’ve seen, and I have many. I began to test the knife against 1/4” and 1/2” sisal rope, cardboard, and food… it performed GREAT!!! Then I put the knife against wood, batoning what I would call a medium piece of firewood. (This knife was advertised as “over built” and suitable for processing wood including batoning). As you can see the knife blade shattered on the first piece. I have done this with thinner knives without any issues. (See comparison knife photo- each of those smaller, thinner CHEAPER knives survived much more including BATONING)Sheath- great quality, fit and retention.Customer service was great. Off Grid Knives refunded my money.I would give 1 star because this knife did not perform as advertised. However, I gave 2 stars because the sharpness, sheath and customer service was GREAT.*If you plan to use this knife on rope, cardboard and food, you will probably LOVE it. I would not use it on wood. *

Why aren’t more people talking about Off Grid?
Let me start by saying, much to my wife’s dismay, I own an absurd amount of expensive knives. The design, fit and finish of this knife is unbelievable for the price. Time will tell how it holds up but this company’s knives will exceed your expectations given the relatively low cost.

Nice!
Will be a good camp knife.

Heavy for what it is.
The knife is so unbalanced that fine cutting takes extra effort. The blade would need to be twice as long to properly balance the handle. The handle itself is overly large and bulky. The blade is sharp.
