A very good precis of a much-loved classic
I bought this book for my 2 year-old granddaughter because it is a classic story, much-loved by my deceased husband and myself. I found it to be an excellent rendition with illustrations compatible with the original. Reading it to my granddaughter I was moved to tears.

Incredible illustrations!
The illustrations in this book are amazing. They really bring the story to life. However, the story is a little rushed and doesn't fully make sense!I would still fully recommend this book for the brilliant illustrations!

Enchanting
This adaptation of the world renowned and much loved “The Little Prince” by Antoine de Saint-Exupery is stunning. Louise Greig’s poetic style has captured the very essence of the story for young children. The message of love, care and friendship is evident as is The Little Prince’s love of nature and ‘hidden beauty’. The illustrations are beautiful. This is sure to become a picture book classic.

Beautiful
A mesmerising adaptation of the timeless classic. I enjoyed reading this to my children and feel that the essence of the original story was perfectly captured. Not an easy task but Louise Greig once again manages to capture that abstract space between imagination and prose perfectly. Would recommend her other novels too, especially Sweep and The Night Box.

Buy it for the pictures; not the story.
I was very excited to see a picture book version of “The Little Prince” to read to my son. While i was not expecting the full version in a picture book, I personally kept getting lost while reading it to him because it was like a fast-forwarded version where you only get bits and pieces of the actual story.I feel they simplified it too much and left most major parts out which add to the overall charm of the book. The pictures are beautiful and the book itself is great to look at, but the way it is translated, just makes the story confusing and difficult to explain even to a young readers. I ended up returning it for the version translated by Katherine Woods, even without colorful pictures the original story is much more engaging and imaginative.
