Strongway Double Locking 12-Ton Jack Stands — 24,000-Lb. Total Capacity, Pair

I very highly recommend these jack stands! They are top quality, and I feel very safe under them!

They are very stable when placed on the ground, (no wobbling). The welds are clean and well-done. The stands have a lever action, and also safety pin for extra security. It all works smoothly. I have done a few oil changes with these..Felt safe under the car, and they are solid. That is what matters. Before these, I had initially bought two "Pro-Lift" jack stands from Amazon, (the 6-ton version). When they arrived, both of the Pro-Lift stands wobbled, when placed on a flat surface. Not good. Returned them, and got these Strongway stands. Finally, I like the pretty blue color, :-)

I purchased two pairs of Strongway 6-ton jack stands in 2021, in 2022, and again in February 2024. The 2021 and 2022 sets were made in India. They’re perfect for my usage and are superior to the 2024 China-made set. The 2024 purchase arrived with significantly damaged external and internal packaging. Fortunately, no product damage occurred. Here are the issues I have with these stands: 1) lifting height is ½ inch less than advertised, both at minimum and maximum height. 2) Amazon photo shows the ratchet bar at an oblique angle and obscures the true width of the saddle. Product info states “Large saddle surface area provides plenty of contact with the load being supported”, but the saddles on the 2024 set are significantly smaller than earlier sets. The “sold by” store’s website for this product states “3in. yoke size; 3.66in. between ears”. Actual distance between ears is 2.75”, not 3.66”. 3) The safety pin slides easily into place, but also slides out easily, as there’s nothing to retain it. It’s easy to unintentionally snag the chain, pulling the pin out of position. 4) they’re advertised as having “precise adjustment”, which implies small increments between locking positions. Actual adjustment is in 1” increments. I bought these to support a 1970’s pony car (1.75 tons) with a 3 5/8” wide front subframe and 3” diameter rear axle tubes. They work fine supporting the rear axle, but I’m not happy with the narrow yoke that doesn’t properly contact the subframe. I can’t imagine these being used to support the frame of a larger, heavier vehicle. I wish the India-made stands were still available, as the distance between ears on their yokes was 3.75”, 1” wider than the China-made stands.
