I don't know why so many negative comments about the length of the straps at the back of the head. I cut them off because they aren't needed to keep the wide strap on my head. I've used it in different positions on my head and it never slips off. I suppose it depends on the shape of the head. Also, the fabric feels soft to me, but I have a beard, so when I'm wearing it, it's not against my bare skin. It works fine for me and has one advantage over most of the chin straps I've tried. I sleep with a ceiling fan on all night and the strap is wide enough to cover my ears and keep them warm. Most straps have ear holes cut out so they don't cover the ears, and my ears get cold. No bueno.

I tried a few different chin straps, and although this one looks strange and bulky, it actually does a better job than the others. I don’t need to use the side straps. Just the wide strap keeps my mouth closed at night and it stays put.

I finally found a chin strap that keeps my mouth closed. I tried many others but this is the only one that works. The extra small straps to keep it in position are not needed and useless anyway as they are too short and scratchy. The only downside to this strap is that it tends to cover the front of my ears making it difficult to hear. I worked around this by folding that part of the strap under so the ears remain uncovered. Those are the only reasons I did not give it 5 stars.

This looks close to the Respironics Delux strap but it is very much a step down in quality. The main band portion is a bit stiffer and the behind the head strap is not sewn in on one side. It uses velcro to attach to both sides, which sounds neat but there is hardly any elastic in it. It does not fit around my head without pulling the main band over my ears. Simply put, it's not nearly as comfortable as the Respironics one was...

I use CPAP and am looking for a rig that will keep my mouth fully closed under a full face mask. This is applied before the mask but caused too much interference with the mask creating too high a leak rate. Seemed comfortable and would probably work well for just anti-snoring. So for it's intended purpose, I'd probably give it 5-stars. But just didn't work well for me for CPAP.

Worked good

The size of the product shipped is narrower than displayed. That's OK because it is more comfortable and I think the wider ones have been discontinued. It is not extra large. I have tried many different chin straps and they are all problematic making the experience of using a cpap even more uncomfortable. The only mouth closure that actually works that I have found is a mouth tape product also purchased on Amazon. Good luck. Someday I hope there is a better alternative to using a cpap.

Easy, no nonsense, simple design. The strap the has Velcro for the back that works perfectly to weave the dreamgear strap through, to help keep the dream wear system in place all night. Without this chinstrap I have my dream wear slowly lower off the top of my head, causing me to adjust them all night. This strap works perfect for that. My favorite! I will continue to buy replacements of this as needed. They last for years.
