Smash Burger Press 6 inch, Round Burger Smasher Grill Press for Griddle Bacon Press Meat Steak Press with Wood Handle

It’s exactly as advertised: it presses burgers to get that smash burger taste, it’s easy to clean, it seems well made. It arrives in two pieces (the handle and the flat part). You attach them with included hardware. This was easy and intuitive. I like the handle, and so far I’ve seen no wear or discoloration from washing. I didn’t notice any offensive odor when I opened it. It’s not super thick or heavy, but it works great. I’ve used it on burgers and bacon, and I feel like it helps get a more consistent cook. I didn’t notice a lot of heat retention but there is some, nor did I go handling the metal part directly after use. As I said, easy to clean, everything (grease) just washes and wipes right off. And I like the look of the item. Seems good for the price.

Never knew I needed this until I bought and used it. I started making smash burgers about 6 months ago. I used whatever was handy and flat. Little did I know that this press was perfect for the job. Heavy enough but not hard to manage. Construction is very solid. You can retighten handle if necessary but so far it has stayed tight. I can know get my burgers as flat as I like. I also use it to make naan bread. It does a great job. Start with a ball, place on parchment paper and press away. I also use a piece of parchment between the press and whatever I’m pressing. Never sticks and barely if ever gets dirty. This one is a standard 6 inch. I would like one about 8 inches if I could get this brand but so far haven’t found it. Anyway, a great product. It’s also very inexpensive. I paid $6.99 on Amazon and most were a lot more. Save yourself some money and get this one

This is the first smash press I have used and I like it for grilled sandwiches and bacon. I may look for a heavier one for the burgers, it works ok for burgers but you need to push it to if you want smash burgers. It cleans easily and my handles are staying tightened after using frequently
