Installed unit on home water line, I have my own well. Used supplied 40 micron vs 200 micron filter because next filter in line is a spun rope filter which removes finer particles. This unit pulls the larger particles out prior to the finer filter and makes that filter last longer. So easy to clean out, a quarter twist of valve at bottom blows out all debris and sediment. Internal design causes a turbine action inside filter and you can watch it flushing itself clean. Light weight, can be installed inline without a support bracket. Unit has no mounting points for a bracket, however, with two hardware store U bolts and a hunk of right angle steel I was easily able to make a mount for it (only because of my system & location did I need to do this). Note unit is not to be used outside or in direct sunlight locations. Solid brass with polycarbonate bowl, two stainless steel filters included, brass pipe fittings, and a wrench for loosing bowl included. Nicely packaged.

My washer inlet valves were damaged by rust from old water pipes. I replaced the pipes I could, installed one on the hot and the cold lines, fixed the washer and I am see the rust and other grit falling here and there as the washer fills with water. Absolutely awesome! No more value damage.
