Checking out the play-listings one could do a whole lot worse than use the sounds on-board as the background fora themed 'Rock' - 'Party' ....it's a great collection of favourites from the birth of Rock'n'Roll in the mid-fifties throughto the very early 60's.Though there are one or two tracks maybe not so familiar, overall it is almost certain that a collector will already ownmost if not all the numbers included upon this 3-CD Compilation.At just £4.99 it is probable that this is a re-release, might be worth checking-out before committing to buy....Whilst the vast majority of the 60-Tracks are indeed A-Side releases, as is often the case there are almost certainly oneor two B-Sides nestled among the collection.With tracks such as - 'Bill Hayley's' - 'Rock Around the Clock' (The Sound that Started it All)......'Gene Vincent' - 'Be=Bop-A-Lula'......'The Coasters' - 'Poison Ivy' (a personal favourite of mine)......and......'Dion' - 'Teenager in Love'......among thenumbers to be found upon disc one ......and......'Chuck Berry' - 'Johnny B. Goode'......'Johnny Kidd and The Pirates' - 'Shakin'All Over'......'The Clovers' - 'Love Potion No 9'......and......'Bobby Darin' - 'Splish Splash'......to be found on disc two's listings......along with......'Elvis' - 'Don't Be Cruel'......'Jackie Wilson' - 'Reet Petite'......'Chubby Checker' - 'Let's Twist Again'......and....'The Tornadoes' - 'Telstar'......among the 20 tracks to be found upon disc three.......all the ingredients for a great Rock -Party are surely in place.I have highlighted just a few from each of the three discs to offer a flavour of the 'Rock' memories that can be found on-boardI'd say at for around a 'Fiver' it's worthy of being checked-out.

I sit in my car singing my head off.I heard most of these through my parents (who are still with us). Memory's can stir such emotions, especially at the moment.

It does what it says,a full on rock n roll party from first to last.Nice to have a rock n roll compilation that does not include the slow end platters etc.

The tracks are poorly recorded and are very difficult to listen to. I could not listen to this CD for any period of time
