100 Endgames You Must Know: Vital Lessons for Every Chess Player

The book is very well written and understandable also for beginners that at least know how to read chess annotation. It has indeed 100 games that can "happen" at some point and they are very nice to know. They also assist you understanding how some chess strategies or plans can work even if not in end game. Totally recommended.

Good information for most chess players with some experience.

Having returned to Chess after a 20 year absence I needed a comprehensive Endgame book which would cover all common endings. I had already bought John Emms' excellent book on Rook Endings so I needed something to cover the rest. I initially purchased Dvoresky's book on chess endings which, though comprehensive, was much too detailed for me (about 1400). This book is pitched at just the right level - detailed enough to include every type of endgame the average player is likely to encounter but clear enough to show the right method not just the right moves. My search for an endgame book is now over.

This is a classic. Every serious chess player knows. But the present edition is a blast. Hardcover. Solid. Improved visualisation. Chess is not only online. This is not a chess book. This is an attitude. A great way to say that the good old chess days are for ever. Thank you.

Really took a lot away from this book Easy to follow and well structured Challenging yet not overly complex... I reckon anyone from beginner to expert could benefit from this book.
