I find this ideal for pasta. It only has holes in the bottom so the water doesn't drain out too quickly. This makes it easier to retain a bit of moisture in the pasta before tipping it back in the saucepan (for mixing with sauce) or into a serving bowl. It can also be used for draining vegetables, but I would recommend a larger, conventional colander for this. This drainer has a good, solid, well-made feel.

Just what I wanted and does the job. Four stars as the bottom is a bit thin and flexi plus the handle feels like it would work and look better if it angled slightly up the way instead of angling slightly down the way but that is maybe just me being fussy. Overall very happy with the quality and price.

Solid, Stainless steel, restaurant-kitchen quality with sturdy riveted handles on both sides. Just what I needed to strain the pasta/veggies after losing bits each time in the sink! The holes are Only in the bottom of the equipment (the rest are a photographic/light reflection on the supplied photos) No reason why you could not self-mod the item with an electric metal drill for Xtra holes if required. Well worth buying!

So this is nice quality - sturdy, easy to clean, durable etc. But it's hard to drain away all the water, there's always some pooled in the bottom. Edit - I noticed the other negative reviews and wanted to mention that I bought mine in December 2021 so it may be that what is sent out now is not the same.

I purchased this in August, 2010, using it almost daily. It's now 2025 and the handle has just fallen off. I don't know if the current ones are made as well, but mine certainly lasted!

Ich war schon länger auf der Suche nach einem qualitativ hochwertigen Edelstahlsieb in genau dieser Größenordnung und wurde hier endlich fündig. Die Öffnungen haben genau die richtige Größe, der Rand eine nützliche Höhe. Egal ob zum Abtropfen von Trauben oder Rosenkohl, ich möchte es nicht mehr missen!

Je ne l'utilise que depuis un mois, jusqu'à présent je suis très satisfaite, c'est un produit solide qui passe au lave-vaisselle, pratique pour faire égoutter les aliments au-dessus de l'évier. Par contre, j'aurais aimé trouver le même modèle en plus grand, par ex 22 ou 24 cm pour les quantités plus importantes. Sinon, pour moi, tout est OK, y compris l'emballage bien protégé comme d'habitude. Merci à vous

Good finish, with no rough edges; functionally satisfactory--I use it as a single-implement for finger-squeezing tamarind pulp and straining the juice; and it is hard to find a strainer that is flat bottomed and not perforated along the sides. But it is very light weight, hence the 4 stars.

Schon Jahre in Betrieb, ist praktisch kann an der Leiste aufgehängt werden. Ist so immer griffbereit.
