Better than expected
This has printer is great for churning out a high volume of simple labels. It takes a bit of experimentation to understand the software, but that isn't a surprise for an inexpensive printer. We have been careful to use labels that are not too cheap out of concern for unreliable adhesive and fading (if they come in a sealed bag, that helps). FYI: Fading of the label image can be an issue with this type of printing system. We left samples in direct sunlight for a month and the fading was minimal with this unit and the labels we are using. We are very happy with this little unit!

IDprt Thermal Label Printer Review
I recently purchased the IDprt thermal label printer, drawn by its promise of compatibility with various labels, as I already had a stockpile and did not want to buy proprietary labels. However, my experience with this printer was far from satisfactory.Initial Setup and First ImpressionsUpon receiving the printer, I followed the setup instructions meticulously. Despite this, the printer refused to print. I double-checked connections, drivers, and settings multiple times to no avail.Customer Support NightmareRealizing I needed assistance, I tried reaching out to the customer support number provided. To my dismay, I was met with a busy signal – something quite unexpected in this day and age. After some investigation, I discovered that the only contact number was based in China. Given potential language barriers and the inconvenience of international calling; I decided against this option.Online and Email Support FrustrationsI then turned to the internet for solutions, but every website I found led to a dead end. In a desperate attempt to resolve the issue, I reached out to Amazon's customer support. Unfortunately, this was also outsourced, and after an exceedingly long hold time, my call was disconnected.I also sent multiple emails to IDprt’s support email address but received no response. After two days of fruitless efforts, I had no choice but to return the printer to Amazon. In conclusion, the IDprt thermal label printer not only failed to function as expected, but the lack of accessible and effective customer support compounded my frustration. Given the combination of technical issues and abysmal support, I cannot recommend this printer. If you are considering a thermal label printer, I suggest looking at other brands with more reliable customer service and support infrastructure.

NIce Lable printer.
I got this printer for a computer we have in the house. It would be nice to be able to print labels there and not just in the office at our shop. The printer works fine and does its self-print, but I am having a issue with software compatibility, as we are using an older version of QuickBooks and things are not quite right. The printer is fine, and works great, it's a me thing or at least an older software issue that is keeping the printer from printing what the software request. Works fine doing other task for other software.

Good Replacement for Dymo 450 Label printer
I am responsible for a number of veterinary practices that use Dymo 450 label printers to print a wide variety of labels, including pharmacy labels. With the unavailability of the Dymo 450, we have been looking for a replacement and so far, this printer seems to fit the bill. We are able to create custom label types that match the standard 30256 & 30258 Dymo style labels within the printer driver allowing us to use these printers with no recoding. So far so good. Printer appears to have a build quality at least as good as the Dymo.

Is a little archaic
This printer does the job but getting there was the issue with me. It comes with a CD to install the drivers (odd) but it does. You get a small test roll of labels. You'll need them. It wastes two labels everytime it turns on. Getting it installed on the computer was a challenge for me. I did call tech support and he helped me. I would recommend putting the CD in the pile of I want to throw these around later when I am bored box and go directly to their website to download the drivers and the software. The software is rudimentary. I asked about that. Didn't get much response except they are working on it. Once you get the hang of it is okay. I am used to sophisticated software and plug and play. This is not a plug and play. It did interfere with my printers and I had to fix all that. I hate having to fix printers. Windows gives me enough grief. But it is working now and all set up. It prints labels like I need and it will do the job. I am used to Dymo printers and software. So was a little shocked. I was trying to save a little money. Uline had the printer I was looking for but after the fact. Didn't do enough research. My 4 star rating is because of the difficulty I had installing the printer and software. The label software that looks like it is a better piece of software is not compatible with this printer. But they send it anyway. If you are going to use this for barcoding I suggest you talk to the seller and get the right printer or stick with Dymo.

Printer Works for My Company Needs, But Home-Use software integration directions are lacking
I like this printer a lot for my company needs. We built the software integration so we can communicate to it. It prints well. We sell this printer to our clients that use our point of sale to print barcode labels. However, I can see why home users would be frustrated with it. idPrt needs to do a MUCH better job on their documentation. From Windows Printers and Scanners, you have to build a custom label and save it to your printer preferences in the idPrt SP310. This is a bit tedious. Once the label is built and saved, you would then print from your app. It brings up the print confirmation window, you have to select the printer, and possibly the custom label, and then print.idPrt offers a label designer software but it doesn't interface with external software at all so I don't really see the point in it. Who wants to add information and print one label at a time? NOBODY.But I still like the printer for my specific needs.
