I just seem to not be able to live without this stuff. I must have one with me at all times. I suffer from dry mouth and find that if I can keep my lips covered with this product, the dry mouth symptoms are not so bad. I grew up out west and we all had to have some sort of lip covering for the dryness and the sun. I find this stuff indispensable and very affordable.

This is the only ointment that help my toddlers chapped lips when it’s cold. It’s fall now in New England. And if you live in New England, you know it gets very cold. It heals his lips very quickly and it doesn’t burn him or cause discomfort.

Carmex is unquestionably the best lip balm. Sometimes, I get my hopes up and try others, but I'm always disappointed. Bonus: this is the best price I've found for it anywhere, which lets me justify buying it in (some might say) excessive quantities. However, maintaining a respectable stash is vital, especially because you never know when the world might go crazy again and run out of absolutely everything. Getting caught without Carmex is nightmare fuel. The smell isn't great, but after decades of use, I barely notice it anymore. The taste is on par with Vaseline, so basically nothing. It doesn't have SPF, but SPF makes lip products taste disgusting; so, while I know I should be using SPF on my lips, I can't stand it and really appreciate that Carmex classic doesn't contain any. You might be surprised to learn how difficult it is to find SPF-free lip balms that aren't just useless wax. Still, if you need SPF, there are other versions and flavors/scents available; I can't say I care for any of them, but they're there. I prefer these tubes to other container styles, but be careful about leaving them in hot cars; you do not want to end up with a mouthful of melted Carmex. Is that a balanced enough review? Can I go back to gushing? As long as I have Carmex on hand, my lips are never chapped. It works in a pinch for small cuts and scratches and even blemishes (though it's not good to use the same tube that you use on your lips; mouth germs, y'know?). I've handed tubes out to friends and family members with full-on nasty, crusty cracked lips, and the results are always fast and amazing. Of course, now I have to hide my stash from those grateful (or some might say ungrateful) converts. Oh well. As long as there's enough Carmex to go around, I won't have to fight anyone.

I've been using these for 50 years, and hope they never stop making them! They seem to keep my lips moist for a much longer time than any of the others (and I think I've tried them all). They also have a good smell, very light and vanilla-ish....not something fruity or flowery that will give you a headache, and be noticeable to everyone around you. :)

It’s carmex, I’m not sure what to tell other customers. I personally like the tubes over the other two options of application.

I love carmex! And great amount for cost.
