The dusk-to-dawn sensors always break on my exterior light fixtures within a year. Never again! I'm going back to REGULAR fixtures like these that should last a lifetime and just using them with dusk-to-dawn LED bulbs. They're heavy-duty metal, work perfectly, and the installation was a breeze.

Anyone saying you need to buy any other pieces is wrong. This will have everything you need. If you're looking at this item, you've likely realized that it's hard to find black, metal, non motion-detecting, bulb-not-LED fixtures in this style. This is the one for you. The machining seems quality and everything seems to work fairly well. Like every exterior fixture - pointing the cans in the direction you want to is kind of a one-time deal unless you want to take everything apart so take your time deciding before you mount it. Otherwise this is a great piece of kit.

This fixture is a dying breed that, generally, is all that is required for a lot of use cases. Simple to install and given most bulbs today are LED, bulbs are not included, you don’t have to change them very often.

Pros - easy install, not too expensive, work well. Cons - none. Something to be aware of - these do not come with the required round outlet boxes (which house the wiring and also act as the mount), so that is something you will have to source separately. I had a hard time finding a black round outlet box at my local big box stores, so I either had to buy a grey or bronze outlet box and paint it, or find one online. After doing some digging online, I managed to find black powder coated round outlet boxes (Mulberry Metal Products part # 30316B) that did the trick. Everything else with the install is very straightforward. I have 5 sets of these lights with a pair of 120W floods in each, so my back yard looks like I'm preparing for a shuttle launch. Yes, my neighbors hate me. Yes, it probably causes local brownouts when I flip the switch, But, I don't step on dog poop when I'm walking through my back yard after sunset, and that was the goal.

My out of warranty Ring Floodlight Camera began strobing so I went to YouTube and found a video from someone who experienced the same issue and came up with a fix that replaced the factory Ring LED driver/housing/bulb combo with a standard floodlight bulb housing that takes replaceable bulbs. I also wired in a relay to prevent problems. Been working great for almost a year.

Too bright and you can't watch it snow if they go on and off. Great just for sensors

Very good quality and perfect for what I needed

Before all my lights was controlled by the Motion detector on the light fixture, and they were never working properly. I doubt that even some wind can be recognized as motions. They always turn on themselves for no reason. Now I can use this to pair with my Philips hue light bulbs, and they are working amazing. I can change the brightness and control them manually or with automations. Plus the black and bronze color looks amazing! Easy to install, quality is fine.
