Do not buy these socks. The advertisement says "double tough, we mean it" but the heels develop holes after only a few wearings.

These are great socks. Out of myself, my daughter, my son and my husband, I am the only one who sorts whites and colours when doing the laundry. I’ve noticed that these socks are the only brand that doesn’t get grey pills on them from not being sorted properly before washing and drying and they are the only brand that doesn’t pill up from wear. They look bright white any way you wash them. Now I like to think I get socks the whitest and brightest in our family but really, anyone can do anything to these socks and they will always look newer than any other pairs despite being the oldest socks of the bunch. Just bought a 12 pack of these socks for my son for his stocking (yes, his stocking is that big). I’ll probably get a pack for my husband too. They don’t mind too much if their socks get greyish and pilled but I do because god forbid you have to go see a doctor unexpectedly and you don’t have your whitest whites on?!?! Lol. Now that comes from my mother. Her voice is still in my head reminding me to wear white socks, bra and underwear because you never know who might need to see them. Haha.

I've been buying these socks for over ten years, but at stores. This is the first time I bought them online through Amazon. (Incidentally, I bought the size 12-14 version.) The one major difference I noticed right away is how the stitching and material of the lower portion of the sock (ankle to toe) is decidedly different than the upper portion (calf). The lower portion is as I expected it- roomy, supportive, with the right amount of material, not too thick or thin. They fit my (wide) feet nicely. The upper portion, on the other hand, is now decidedly thinner, which doesn't bother me, but what is cause for concern is how tight the elastic is. It is a challenge getting this portion past my foot and up my calf. Because it is so tight, it grips my lower leg to the point that it is consistently squeezing it, not just holding against it. I'm hoping that, in time, the elastic material will weaken a bit to make the socks, overall, as comfortable as they've always been in the past.
