EWK Mini Cooper Camshaft Alignment Timing Tool for BMW Mini N12 N14, Peugeot, Citroen 1.4 1.6 Engines, Engine Locking Timing Tools Kit

I have many EWK specialty tools such as this and not one has failed me yet. They're good quality tools for the money and have always performed as expected. Some have said this set does not fit well, my particular set fit perfectly in place and held the cams in perfect timing on my 2009 NA (non turbo) MINI, when I had to rebuild the upper half and put a new timing set in.

Don't understand someone of the reviews. I get having to remove a piece of the tool that isn't really necessary but I am pulling the head for a blown head gasket so I didn't have to modify anything. The cam tools bolted on fairly easily. I also was able to get the flywheel tool locked in. I noticed it was hitting the oil pan a little and once I looked at the tool I saw the weld was moved to one side some. I was able to fit it right in and then just had to move the crank back and forth just a tad to lock it in. This tool saved the day and I am really happy I was able to get it done with very little trouble. Having some instructions would have helped but maybe that is why it is so cheap anyways.

I did a head gasket job on a 2010 mini Cooper 1.6L non turbo. I didn’t need the tool to take the heads off, so I figured I wouldn’t need it to put it back on. I was wrong!! You most definitely need this tool to set the timing right when putting everything back together. This tool saved my ass, and the quality is pretty good for the price you pay.

Fit is precise worked great

Everything fit as it should right out of the box. Some reviews stated you have to modify to make work. Couldn't be more satisfied with this tool,especially for the price.

Nice kit but had to grind off a mounting point that’s not used but hits the turbo. O and turn the transmission lock handle sideways to clear exhaust and oil pan
