Just Scentsational bark/mulch colorant is an environmentally-friendly, fast-dry dye designed to be applied to old mulch and pine straw. It is available red, black, and brown colors, in both ready-to-use and super-concentrated formulas. The red and black colors work very well as a permanent colorant on both natural and rubber based mulch. The brown color works great on pine straw. The concentrate formula can be mixed with as high as 10 parts water. The mulch colorant is easily applied with most spray equipment - it dries fast and resists fading. Plus, it's water resistant once it's dry. The product is environmentally safe and contains no hazardous materials - safe around people, plants, and pets. The product can stain concrete and other hard surfaces when dry, so it's best to use drop cloths and measures to prevent unwanted over-spray.

Refreshes The Look
I purchased this to give my rubber mulch a fresh look because it was dull and lacking brightness. I bought rubber mulch because it lasts a long time but it also loses it's color over time. What I did was raked all my mulch up into a pile on a large tarp. Then spread it out, sprayed it and let that dry, then moved it around with a rake to get the other sides. I used a garden sprayer and it was easy to do and went pretty quickly. Otherwise you are only spraying the top. This is the same color that my mulch was and now it looks new again. I only gave it 4 stars because I do not know how long it will last. I will update my review in a year.
