The good; Great performance for the money Clear and sharp Light weight Compact Very nice case, caps and strap The bad; A little lacking in Very dim light (see notes) This company didn't exist sooner Final thoughts; The bad point about lacking in very dim light is just an overall point. These binos can't compete with the $$$$ Alpha Glass of Swarovski and Leica. As they are worth the cost as the materials and craftsmanship make them the kings they are. For the price point these GPO Passion ED binos are spectacular! They are far better than all the $500 glass I tried. As for some reviews criticizing the focus wheel as being sloppy, loose or too easy. Mine are just a little tighter to turn than the 5 figure camera lenses I use for my photography. There is nothing sloppy, loose or poor about the focus wheel. It is actually very similar to the Leica Trinovids I lost a while back. So, in my experience, you will do marginally better at $1,000 and somewhat better at $2,000+. For the money these are very hard to beat!
