Works on small jobs, a box grater works better for zesting more than a couple of fruit.

So easy to use and clean. Just toss in the dishwasher and you're all set. The cover is very convenient.

My lemon zester was stolen. It had to have been. I have my eyes on a couple old ladies in this neighborhood that might have the break-in skills to accomplish such an incredible task. It was protected by a row of vegetable peelers, which is impenetrable without doing serious damage to your fingers.I might have also accidentally thrown the last one away - got this as a nice replacement and for a great price. Feels good in my hand and easy to clean (for a zester... or guess I should ask my dishwasher, but she isn't here right now). Joke.. seriously. My eyes are on those grannies tho

This is such an improvement from my old grater! Easy to hold and use. And best of all easy to wash! I primarily got this for the microplane side but the zester was a great added bonus I have found myself using all the time!

I purchased this to save my knuckles every time I make orange chicken. It sure beats the box grater when it comes to something as simple as lemon or orange zest. I like that it has covers. I can store it without it causing damage to my drawer bottoms. I will say that because it's so short, it isn't that comfortable to use but it goes fast. I'm not fond of the peeler and will never use it, but I do like the zesting features. You can make long strings of zest, or you can grate it. It's also really easy to wash. I've been washing mine in the dishwasher and it hasn't dulled it at all. If you plan to do a lot of zesting then you might want to upgrade. If you're a basic cook like myself then this will do the trick.

This was a kitchen utensil I never knew I needed, until I used it. We cook and bake most of our food and a microplane grater is used regularly here. I rarely used a channel or peeler before, but that has changed.The larger graters obviously work well but this little thing has become my go to for zesting or grating nutmeg. When I'm using it for grating, since it's already out and dirty, it's easy to prepare a little food garnish to finish off the food or drinks at the same time. I have a lot of kitchen utensils, but did not own one of these. I occasionally zest lemons and limes, so this is something I can use without having to do it the hard way. It saves me a lot of time and is much more convenient. I expect to get a lot of use out of this and hope it lasts a long time.
