Reasonably affordable, MUST-HAVE addition for Hurl2
These are a wonderful addition to my Hurl2 knife sharpener kit. The sharpener kit came with two grit levels which included diamond grit, and basically a steel. These two Whetstone attachments fill in that range of grit, allowing more control and a much finer, almost mirror like edge for your knife. The.Hurl sharpening system is next level genius, but unfortunately, in order to get additional grit levels, you have to invest in a much more expensive kit. These are a relatively affordable way to fill in the blanks without breaking the bank.(that should be a slogan! “Fill in the blank, don’t empty your bank!!!” Lol

Great sharpening tools
These additional grits are needed to get a true chef knife sharpness. In conjunction with the tool itself, I got an outstanding result

Needed?? If so, great product.
So the idea is after you have sharpened normally, you switch out the discs and then go to ultra fine polishing. I am either not getting the original sharpness to a point this matters or it is not needed? The discs are holding up, I have sharpened many knives. Just not sure it is adding anything to my blades. Not good nor bad, just not sure if you need to be ultra sharpener to get any benefit

Fits my Horl 2 perfectly
I used these with my Hotl 2 and my kitchen knives are sharp as a razor.

Material and backing plate (disc) NOT co-planer = major functionality issue!
The stone/composite material on the discs was not flat. Essentially, the surface of the material was not parallel to the backing plate, which meant that while trying to use this to sharpen or refine the knife's edge, it would rotate and hit at the high point on one spot of the edge, then rotate some more before hitting again leaving spots of completely untouched knife edge! I spent a decent amount of time (took me a few hours) and some ingenuity to bring the material into parallel with the backing plate, which not only cost me that time but also a hefty amount of the material was lost while making those co-planer. I would strongly suggest you purchase something more reputable (possibly more expensive, but works as expected out of the box) or just simply avoid this product and hope another cheap-o works out better!

Excellent option to OEM stones
I swapped these with my Horl 2 stones when I received them. They work flawlessly. These are meant for the Horl 2 or Horl 2 Pro. It says it in the listing so not sure why anyone would try to use them as a standard stone. The Horl is such and easy sharpener and gets my professional kitchen knives razor sharp. They 2 stones are the fine finishing stones. They are NOT the primary disc's. You use these to dine sharpen and polish the edge after you have done the initial sharpening. These work perfect and will last quite a while as my backup set. To clean them just use a pencil eraser after sharpening. Good purchase and cheaper than OEM.

Looks good but cant use
I dont have a horl, this was ordered mistakenly thinking they were sharpening blocks. The disks though look solid quality and would push metal to a nice polish and the strop is solid even if you dont have the horl system
