Perfect tools for a beginner

This kit has the 1/2-20 adapter for the minisplit port. I haven't used it yet, it just came in, but it sure looks solidly made and a great buy.

This was for my husband and he’s happy with the purchase. A nice bag to keep it in came with it too.

This worked as stated but I was wondering if it was going to come apart during use. I used it on a mini split install.Make sure you get the adapter to fit your ac unit before you start.

I haven't hooked this up to a micron vacuum gauge to see how well it actually holds, but it seemed to hold pretty steady overnight with a needle gauge. Although everything looks good as far as clean well-mating threads with not much swarf. I did see a few bit of brass dust on a couple of the O rings, and it would have been nice if a few extras were included. I have to get my hands on a micron gauge so I can bench test it and hopefully use it the next time I install a mini split to vacuum and nitrogen purge the lines.The little wrenches and bits are a nice addition to the little tool bag, if you don't already have some.

I just used this tool to change a leaky core on my friend's old AC. It only took two minutes. Without this tool, it would take hours to do. First you have to recover the refrigerant. Change the valve core, and then evacuate the system for a couple hours. Finally you still got to put the refrigerant back in the system. In order to do all that, you will have to have a manifold gauges set, a recovery machine, it recovery bottle, or multiple bottles depending on the system size, and a good vacuum pump.Besides the core changing tool, you also get to ratchets in full common sizes, and Allen key that fits the charging port valve. It comes with 10 valves cores. However, I didn't use them. The one came out of the old system has a black band. So I replaced it with another one with a black band. There's no documentation listing the compatibility and specification of the valve cause that comes with it. It also comes with a very basic theme bag to store everything in.I really like this kit for the quality, and affordability. I give it five stars.

I was amazed to say the least about this valve core remover. It's really a brilliant tool to have.It fully removes and installs the valve core without the loss refrigerant or just very very slightly but with that... it also has a purge on the side so when your about to reinstall, you can purge whats inside the chamber before installing a new valve core back in.This tool works and services 1/4 and 5/16 of an inch ports.This service tool is for HVAC, it cannot be used for automotive. It works on old r22 or new R410A R404A R407C.The set has a Wrench Set with Hex Bit Adapters, plus dual size (SAE 1/4 & 5/16) ratcheting tools for servicing HVAC ports.They also included extra brass nuts (2) and (15) extra valves.The quality is unbelievable! With everything being solid brass and double Oring for each connection.This tool is Golden for everyone that needs this type of work to be done.I highly recommend!!
