When I first ordered this, I thought that it had a light that came with it, as this would be my first time deviating from my normal LED lights setup. I did end up ordering the proper light for it, only to come to the conclusion that I prefer my LED lights over the SE bulb set up. The size is very manageable, and the light gets very bright, and the unit itself doesn't get very hot. It is built pretty solid and very easy to install. Overall, though, I would say that after trying this ballast to run the SE bulb, I would prefer sticking with the good ole LED lights that I've used for years. It is great for what it is, but it's just not the best for my particular setup.

I hooked up the Item, watch the new MH 1000 Fire off, I left for 20 minutes, and came back to a bad smell, a burned out 1000 W MH bulb, and receptacle, and ballast.

Works great. No problem to report.

Item arrived in perfect condition and works properly.

Had mine several years now, never a problem, efficient.

Everything seems fine, shipping was very fast,(one day), but is spare unit for my medical weed grow and won't be used until needed. Is same as my other units that I'm extremely happy with.

For $99 this is a nice quality unit. It is not light weight and that's a good thing. I've ordered these junk digital ballasts fro. Vivosun and the likes. They break down, crappy build quality. I definitely recommend for a budget buyer and someone who wants good lighting compared to led. I personally love the bulbs. I hate led and I've grown under all types including fluorescent tunes. This is an excellent product. My one star rating for weight is to reflect its not light weight and because of that is superior in quality compared to other Ballasts.

the first ballast i ordered had some issues but sunstream employees worked hard and fast to send me a new ballast they are a great companey and i am looking forward to buying a cmh ballast in the futuer and a de set up because of the amazing customer service i am a life time customer of sunstream , i had a similar issues with a gavita ballast and there customer service said tough buy another or go without true story that is why i initually bought my first sunstream ballast a month ago and when it broke i thought here we go my loss , not they made sure i was a happy customer thank you sunstream

The hps Balast and bulb looks great. But I need the output cable connector male end to attach the light to get working.
