Was easy to use and worked
I have had a proplem with red fabric running and had tried everything but with this product I just soaked for 20 minutes and you use it by yard or f fabric so it’s easy to know how much to use and it worked like a charm! Did a quick wash after with color catchers and there was no bleeding at all and the color of fabric is still vibrant. I will use this on all my quilt fabric from now on.

Works like the name says.
I’ve been using retayne to prevent color bleed on all of my medium to dark colored quilting fabrics. It’s a must for any batiks or hand dyed fabrics. It does not prevent the dark blue dye used in jeans from rubbing off when you wear them. Had hoped it would. But it still a good product. I don’t know of any other.

Absolutely necessary
I have relied on this product for years to set the dye in cotton quilting fabrics. I have never had a problem with colors running when I prewash with Retayne. It is highly recommended.

Really works
I followed the directions and hand washed in my laundry tub. I then washed it in my new machine with color catchers. All 4 color catchers were still white after a full wash cycle. I highly recommend this product.

Stopped the bleeding
I had washed a batik fabric multiple times and this was the only thing that would stop the dye from bleeding.

Saved me so much $$
This product worked AWESOME for me. I'm a weaver. I bought a bunch of pre-dyed black cotton thread to make dishtowels. Wove 25 towels. Put them in the washing machine with 4 color catcher sheets and the color catcher sheets came out BLACK. The black thread wasn't color fast....at all. The black was going to continue to shed dye until there wasn't any dye left in the original fiber. Worse. The dye that wouldn't stick to the original fiber was only too happy to stick to EVERYTHING ELSE. So I have 3 months and a good bit of $$ invested in towels I can't sell. Enter RETAYNE. The 140* water temp is important. You gotta have that. You're home water heater is set to less than 120 for safety reasons. I put a big stainless steel bowl on the stove and simmered the towels 4 at a time. Then washed in the machine with color catchers. Color catchers came out almost the same color as when they went in. I was able to save most of the towels. Dye that has shed in the first washing ruins the colors I had added in to a few. Retayne totally saved me.
