Other reviewers mentioning the red light doesn't work: it's because you installed it during the day and didn't turn on your headlights. These USB lights only come on when your night driving lights are on. They work great. Easy to install, took me about half an hour without using a guide, just figuring out what tools I needed - a couple plastic/nylon trim tools to pry the shifter cover off, a 10mm socket w/ a ratchet wrench, and some common sense. Space is tight to work in, like most VW's, but it's doable. Make sure all the cables are properly stowed and connectors secured.

Installed ridiculously easy and fitment is pretty good in my 2014 MK6 Jetta Sportwagen. You can pry up the shifter bezel with your hands, then it's just two T20 torx screws, and the rest is all plug and play. Neither of these that I got had the rounded edges to look at home in the far right slot. They light up red with the headlights on, but not very bright, which is a good thing. USB-C fast charging works on my Samsung. I assume the regular USB port will work as well for my wife's lighting port iPhone, but will update and return if it doesn't. Right now tho its 5 stars, no notes.

Product as described. Appears to be well made. Took 10 minutes to install. Fits well into the dash panel. Helped to clean up cubby in front of the shifter.

Works as advertised. The cord is comically too long so you have to tuck it away nice and at least mine the print was messed up on one of the two buttons. For the price it's not bad, but I wish I could get OEM quality printing on them. To their credit they do glow at just the perfect amount to look stock.

This fit perfectly in my MK6 VW GTI (2012), and the installation couldn’t have been easier. The installation was literally plug-and-play. It blends right in with the interior — the finish looks OEM, and the backlighting matches the factory red perfectly. After a month of daily use, the surface still looks great with no wear. The USB charging is surprisingly fast and has more than enough power for modern devices. For the price, the value is excellent. Highly recommend this upgrade - the quality of life improvement is nice!

Worked perfect in my 2007 VW rabbit. Just popped the plate around the shifter, 2 torx screws to remove the “ashtray assembly, unplug lighter and ASR button. Pop in new blocks plug in pigtails and replace in reverse order.

Pros: -Easy to install -Blends well with the current buttons that’s in my car. It looks like it came with the car. It looks clean -It was inexpensive -The power works simultaneously with the charger in my lighter being that this connection uses the same connection as the car lighter. Cons: -The red accessory light advertised for this connection doesn’t work, therefore, I am unable to see the connections in the dark. I also have not tested the speed of the charging to verify if it’s strong or fast enough to charge a laptop or fast charge a compatible cell phone. I am giving this a 3 star rating because I haven’t used it extensively and one of the features advertised is not working, so I am skeptical on how long this will last in my car.

Great little plug and play item. Easy install just pop the plastic shifter cover and remove two screws. Then you can access the factory wires that you need to plug into. Awesome add on for being able to charge accessories. And looks factory.

Right so let me start off by saying that I didn't but this for the switches but more so the wiring loom. Allowed me to buy a dedicated music swith to control my subwoofer on my 2017 VW Scirroco R. Used the power from the cigarette lighter splitter (red wire to the remote cable of the amp, black to earth, blue to lighting (so the switch lights up with the auto lights of the car)). I also used the blue and black earth to power the led to my new gear stick). Yes it's fiddley to do, but so so worth the hard work. The second loom will be used to power an 'end switch usb c button purchased separately. Hope this helps
