I’m only 5’0”, maybe 5’1” on a good day so I needed this pole to reach my upper closet rods. My closet ceilings are 11 feet and for some reason, the upper rods are exactly 8 feet up making things just out of my reach if to where I need to get up on my tippy toes. The poke itself is lightweight and hollow so I would be cautious regarding how I treat it when unhooking hangers and his many at a time. One at a time is ideal. It’s definitely sturdy, I used it on my wool coat which is the heaviest piece I wear and it was fine. It’s easy to use and put together, the length is perfect for my height. I can reach up to 10 feet with this pole and it even helped me bring down a few ornaments on my 11 foot Christmas tree so its functionality is dependent on you. I never thought I’d use one of these for big only clothing but ornaments but I did and even my 6’0” husband found it useful. I know it’ll be super useful when I redo our closets to use all of that empty overhead space! Great buy! May be useful to find a hook to install on the wall and keep it stationary when not in use. I did this and now it has a place I know it can be found and set down in, within my closet and that’s where it’ll stay until I need it! Buy it! I loved the different features in the single hook itself. Multiple prongs that made it versatile!

Using to move curtains (open and close) on very tall windows (12 foot). Works great. No more struggling to try to adjust.

Boy, this sure came in handy when my curtain rod came tumbling down! I don't do ladders or stools, so I took this pole and hoisted rod and curtain back up onto the brackets! What normally would have taken some time for someone to come over to help me put the curtains back up took me just a minute to do it from the floor. Hubby also uses it to close the curtains above the dining table, as well as for hanging up his shirts (which has become harder for him to stretch that far anymore). Don't know how we lived without it, and am very glad we have it to help us out. We hang it on the end of the curtain rod to keep it handy. It's sturdy enough for our needs. Great for reaching into the washer and dryer.

I used to have to get a stool and climb up to put clothes on the top rack of my closet. Not now... and I wonder why I never thought to get one of these poles before. I saw a lady at the store taking clothes down for a costumer with a pole and it finally dawned on me that I should get one. It took two to three tries before I could take the clothes up or down efficiently because I kept getting it caught on the piece next to the one I wanted, but that's just operator error. I didn't use one of the connection pieces because it would be too long. I rated only 4 stars because the two pieces I have connected together have to be twisted to tighten every so often.

Moved into my new house, the closet has racks all the way to the ceiling like a department store. So I use the rod to reach my clothes, and put clothes up. Very useful!

Flimsy pole. Not useful for reaching or moving items on high shelves. It's probably good for moving hangers of wires, but not most other items. If the pole were sturdier and the hook designed with more thought, it could have been a much better product.

I bought two of these. The first reason was to hook and pull weed vines out of my azaleas where I couldn't reach them. The second reason was to use them to hang net lights for my Christmas decorations outside. They worked great for both purposes.
