Great laquer but note it needs to be cured hot for it to withstand higher temperatures. Nothing on tin or website to say that and only found out after emailing them when sprayed part became tacky when warm. Right mess to strip and start again. When cured though is a great finish. Would help if this was stated somewhere.

This works really well which allowed me to use normal paint on a fire door

Even after curing time and some heat cycles, the paint remains soft and can be easily scratched or marked during handling. I used both the blue paint base and their clear laquer. Ive had my caliper painted for a couple of months before i fitted them. To protect them, they were wrapped in cellophane which has left its wrinkle texture on the paint now. During installation, brake fluid ended up on them while bleeding the system. I used brake cleaner spray (as you would) to wash off the brake fluid but upon wiping down, noticed it softened the paint again! Thus leaving streaks from my cloth. Also dirty fingers marks have become embedded in the blue paint now. All this talk about resistance to this that the other appears false. You cant even return it now can you! I cant exactly scrape off the paint and put it back in the can! 2 blue tins & and a clear laquer, wasted!

Sprayed three coats on on a raw cast iron fire bowl. Over three days with a light wire qooling in-between coats. Created a lovely matte finish. Do use in a well ventilated area however. I allowed for maximum drying times of 24 hours between coats, I'd recommend doing the same!

Lovely finish 3 coats and mirror finish achieved took 48hrs to harden but well pleased 👍.

This lacquer certainly gives a high gloss very clear finish and for that I would give it 5 stars. A very well ventilated area is need when it is used. I was however disappointed about the claims of how heat resistant it is. I used it on hand painted coasters that I had made (see photo above), gave it several days to dry and harden and it still marked and stuck to the cup when used.

I never used the kind of product before. Learned the hard way that using multiple light coats is a MUST and not just a recommendation. It can't dry properly if it is too thick. However, that was a 'me' issue and not a product issue. Seems to work great! Can't comment on heat resistance yet, but the hardness of it after curing is exceptional and the high gloss shine was easier to achieve than I thought it would be, No complaints and I am not a fan of spray cans, as I am also not very good at using them LOL Other than how heavily I first used this product, it seemed to forgive my other shortcomings LOL
