But, if they should ever be back for sale, I recommend getting them! They easily clip onto a pad/notebook and ensure that your pen/pencil is always there…right alongside your paper for the note you just have to jot down. Clever. Review: Not good for fat pens and pencils - The design is nice, a variation on paper clip. However, if you use fountain pen or marker, the space allowance is not enough. Also, to keep the clip from sliding, it should be used on cover that is thicker or not plastic.

Super useful.
I keep giving these to jealous visitors who see my journal. Great for sketchers and note takers.

Pretty great idea
These little pen holders have a great design, being modeled after a paperclip. My other pen holders have adhesive so you can't move them as easily. This design is much better for notebooks. If you have certain pens for certain notebooks, these would be great for you. They're also great at holding a highlighter to a book. The concept of these is really neat but the execution could be a little better. If you're using a notebook with a plastic/ smooth cover, they have a tendency to slide around a bit. These will also only work with standard small pens and pencils, no thicker markers or pens will fit. The rose gold finish is quite pretty and with twelve in the pack it should be more than enough for most people.

Genius product!
It makes so much sense! These are like giant paper clips that have a space for a pen, pencil, lollipop - pretty much anything long and skinny. The space for the pen is built in to the shape, so keep in mind that it won't hold things that are too large or too skinny - but I tried it out with quite a few writing utensils in my house, and all the "typically sized" ones fit. The oversized, cutesy pen my daughter had did not fit. I also tried the clip on several things - a wooden clipboard, a thick cardboard clipboard, a padfolio. The clips all fit and held on well. With something like a padfolio, I would be concerned that over time, it would leave a permanent indentation, but for short term use, it would be just fine. I can see a lot of use for these, and I appreciate that they come in a reusable plastic box, so they can all be kept together when not in use.

Keeps THAT pen with THAT book/journal.
Maybe I'm weird, but I like to write with the same pen (gel pens and fountain pens) in the same journal. I use special highlighters in my Bibles that don't bleed though the pages. I use mechanical pencils for some journals. Keeping track of what stick I'm using for what journal has been tricky until i came across this nifty little item. It clips on to the cover of the journal/book and secures the writing implement firmly. Probably the best endorsement of this product is that I showed up at my men's Bible study group with a highlighter clipped to one Bible and a mechanical pencil clipped to another Bible. When they figured out what it was and how it worked, they immediately asked if I had any more in my pocket to hand out! My only beef is with a larger fountain pen, taking it in and out of the firm hold of the clip might damage the barrel of the pen over time, so I'll just be content with using my cheaper fountains for these clips and leave the larger/high-end fountains in the journals with built-in pen holders.

Success depends on the pen
I use moleskin notebooks in a travelers journal. While the outer journal container has a pen loop, I often take out the single notebook I need for meetings or the like. This handy little clip is easy to add to the cover of the moleskin and slide in my favorite Mr. Pen fine lines. I like a very fine point! As such most of my pens have a fairly narrow body and fit okay. It also fit the standard basic pic, but any pen with heft to the body would be too thick for the clip. Perfect for me, but not for everyone.
