My husband loves it. Being on the larger size is definately better. So would definately recomend a large version.

Not suitable for uk
Available in uk, but dosnt come with uk standard plug top. Tried changing it and the whole thing blew up.

BEWARE: Sold by UK Seller, on Amzon UK, but voltage not compatible with UK market
I bought two of these as Christmas gifts for my children in October from Dubai, to be sent to my parents in the UK. This seller is shown as a UK business operating for Amazon UK. The lamps are for the north American market, so they are 120v with a two pin plug. You won't know that unless you go to specifications, then more specifications and see the voltage. Unfortunately for me, I didn't see this until my kids unwrapped these gifts on Christmas day. I contacted the seller and they said they couldn't be returned. So be warned, the advert conveniently, and misleadingly doesn't mention you'd need a north American convertor plug.

Bulb exploded when we plugged it in!
Bulb exploded as soon as we plugged it in, creating a cloud of smoke. Very unsafe and unsuitable for use. To return we would have to pay more than the product is worth to send back to USA. Do not buy this product if in UK

I ordered this lava lamp for my son for Christmas. It didn’t arrive on time, but when it did he was ecstatic. He really likes the sleek design, reminiscent of a space shuttle. The body of the lamp is a metallic blue with globs of neon green blobs. He proudly placed it in his “man cave” and tells everyone he knows that it is very relaxing/calming to watch, and the colors are “cool.”

Love this one. Was looking for a new lava lamp, and loved the blue on this one. My first melt was a little wonky; the coil was off-centered. But once I let it run and turned it back on the next day, it ran perfectly fine. It gives off a nice light at night as well. Would highly recommend this if you love lava lamps.
