Macro photography has always fascinated me, but I never owned a macro lens. I tried a cheap lens attachment for my cellphone, but the quality was disappointing. I used the 70-300mm telephoto lens as the base and modified the supplied adapter to fit the macro lens. The lens is made of glass and has high index optical glass elements that produce vivid and sharp images. As with any other macro photography lens, the depth of field is very narrow and only a small part of the image is in focus. You will definitely need steady hands or a tripod for macro photography. Have been using this now a couple months and it is still working great! Easy to snap on and throw in your camera bag. Includes a cloth and pouch for carrying. This is like a shortcut to Macro photography and it's great! Some people aren't looking to spend that much for equipment and as someone just exploring macro further this is a great opportunity to do so without spending a fortune and also being able to play around without worrying about destroying something as expensive as a macro lens! Really fantastic alternative! Happy with the results. Images are clear. The lens doesn't affect the focus or anything like that. Works exactly as described! Fantastic addition to a kit!
