24-70mm f/2.8 G Master E-Mount Full-Frame Standard Zoom Lens – Ideal for Weddings, Portraits, and Professional Work

Have been very impressed with this lens paired with the A7R II. It is very sharp (both centre and corner to corner) and excellent for landscapes, portraits and street photography etc. It also gives very good bokeh, has fast autofocus and has a robust, solid construction. I haven't tested it in wet conditions yet. It's not cheap but I've been very pleased with the results so far and that's coming from previously using a D810 with the non-VR 24-70. Recommended.

I have decided to return this product but than i realised that the quality of it is brilliant. Indeed, is big for my a7 r lll but, it doesn’t matter now for me. The image quality is perfect. I was impress by the fast delivery of it too. Ordered in Spain through amszon.c.uk and delivered the next day in Spain.

I bought this lens in September 2024 and in May 2025 It just became faulty. It wouldn't focus. It won't take a picture. I immediately contacted Amazon and got the option for repair. This took about two weeks and the lens was sent back to me that the vendor has repaired the lens. But nothing was repaired as it had exactly the same issue. I contacted Amazon again and was asked to send the item back again for another repair. Shouldn't these things come with warranty? This is really a frustrating experience for me ans I cant understand why

Just amazing

This an expensive lens but the image quality is first class and an excellent focal range, when you pair this with a Sony A7R2 then you'll quickly forget about the money you've just shelled out and just sit there loving your images.

Its weight makes it impractical.

Ho voluto investire su questa ottica, pur essendo un fotografo amatoriale. Dopo avere venduto tutto il corredo Canon ho preso una sony A7II con il fantastico FE 16-35 f/4 OSS e appunto questo 24-70 f/2.8. La lente è costruita in modo maniacale, non ci sono giochi di nessun tipo, la ghiera di messa a fuoco ruota con una fluidità impressionante, anche utilizzando solo un dito. La ghiera dello zoom è sicuramente più resistente nella rotazione ma comunque molto fluida. C'è anche un blocco per evitare che lo zoom fuoriesca quando è appesa al collo ma non l'ho mai usato in quanto lo zoom rimane esattamente dove lo posizionate. La lente ho una nitidezza impressionante e una totale assenza di aberrazione cromatica. Il Bokeh è sorprendente e morbido a tutte le aperture con cerchi pressoché perfetti. La messa a fuoco è silenziosissima e veloce come un fulmine. I contro di questa lente sono, a mio avviso, una certa vignettatura a tutta apertura, rimovibile comunque in post produzione. Soffre inoltre di un eccessivo lens flare a diaframma chiuso, rispetto per esempio al FE 16-35 f/4 Il peso non è indifferente me ci si abitua. Ottima anche Amazon, la scatola esterna (l'imballaggio non la scatola dell'obiettivo) è arrivata danneggiata, contattati mi hanno fatto uno sconto del 5%. Consiglio sia l'ottica che il servizio Amazon. Allego qualche foto del primo giorno di utilizzo.

Le Sony SEL2470GM est tout simplement incroyable ! La netteté et la précision des images sont impressionnantes, même à pleine ouverture f/2.8. La construction est robuste, parfaite pour un usage intensif sur le terrain. Que ce soit pour la photographie de portrait, paysage ou événementiel, cet objectif offre une qualité d’image superbe et un bokeh magnifique. Un investissement que je recommande vivement à tous les passionnés et professionnels de la photo et video.

Bin Besitzer einer Sony a7III hatte vorher das Kit Objektiv und kann nur sagen: WOW Autofokus sitzt in 97% der Fälle sofort. Fokussiert gefühlt so schnell wie das menschliche Auge! Fokuspumpen habe ich nur bei sehr schlechten Lichtverhältnissen (ISO 6000 geht's los schlimmer wird's bei 12.000 aufwärts. Wobei schlimmer hier meckern auf seeeehhhhr hohem Niveau ist. Fokusmotor ist quasi unhörbar. Und scharfe bei Offenblende ist über den gesamten Brennweiten Bereich gut! Freistellung bei Offenblende ist top und wenn es dann auch im Randbereich knackscharf sein soll ein oder 2 Mal Abblenden und gut ist. Zur gegenlichtempfindlichkeit kann ich nur sagen dass dieses Objektiv seines gleichen sucht. Portrait Aufnahmen bei Abendsonne direkt gegen die Sonne fotografiert haben immernoch einen natürlichen Kontrast auf dem Motiv. Und wirken nicht verwaschen oder kontrasrarm. Als nächstes kommt eine Festbrennweite zum objektiv Arsenal, nach dem was dieses Objektiv abgeliefert hat vermutlich wieder ein g master. Habe mich nur noch nicht entschieden welche Brennweite. Ich glaube besser geht nur noch mit Festbrennweite. Ich persönlich brauchte aber erstmal einen Allrounder um mehr als nur eine Brennweite abzudecken. Zum Gewicht: ist schon ein Klopper und ich kann jeden verstehen für den das ein Ausschlusskriterium ist, aber für mich geht das in Ordnung. Auch auf längeren Spaziergängen oder auf Familienfeiern habe ich kein Problem mit dem Gewicht. Erst hatte ich wegen der Bewertungen über die Höhe Serienstreuung ein bisschen meine bedenken für 1.600€ ein objektiv zu kaufen wo man dann noch ein bisschen Lotto spielt. Aber ich scheine Glück gehabt zu haben, oder es ist nicht so schlimm wie häufig beschrieben. Bin absolut zufrieden. Für ein Hobby Fotographen zwar etwas übertrieben aber objektive sind ja ziemlich wertsabil und langlebig. :) Zum Preis Leistungsverhältnis kann ich nicht viel sagen da ich die Konkurrenz Modelle nicht persönlich getestet habe. Empfehlung weiß ich nicht ob ixh die bei diesem Preis aussprechen würde, aber ich würde dieses Objektiv wieder kaufen!

No me arrepiento de la compra, aunque me parece que se ha descontinuado el modelo. La velocidad de enfoque automático y que sea silencioso es impresionante, tiene muy buena calidad de imáten y casi no hay aberraciones. Es casi perfecto. El material, anillos, botones y parasol tienen muy buen tacto y se sienten hechos para durar.
