self fusing tape, what a concept. the old black electricians tape has taken a vacation on larger projects. this flexible tape has more usage and it solves plenty of sealing projects. we go through sets as necessary. each time, the product works to finish the project we started. the colors match different projects, so there is that.a great product and has tons of uses. they are practically the same product and name brands still exist. but that is your choice.

Good tape, works well but a little thin.

I should have listened to the reviews and passed on buying this tape. I bought it to use on a hole in a water pipe, but the other item I purchased solved that. I had a leaky hose connection so I figured I'd try using it to fix that. Big mistake.....I literally used a whole roll of tape on the hose, and it didn't stop the leak....didn't even slow it down,The tape bubbled up and popped on me. Even worse, I couldn't remove when it failed. Take a pass on this tape, it's not worth the money!

The duck tape works fine

Though I'm sure it works for leaky pipes, I used this for an air leak on my pool. I had a small leak on the inlet valve to my pool pump motor which was pushing air into the pool. If you've never used this kind of tape, keep two things in mind: 1) Pull the tape tight on the first wrap (all others, too) to make sure you start off with a good seal around the crack or hole and 2) Remember that one side has a clear tape you need to constantly peel back from the tape so it will fuse to itself on each wrap. This tape does the job as in my case, no cavitation of my pump and zero air was getting into the system. This will probably last for about 2 years!

Very small nothing like the picture

Great product. I’ve used it before for leaking swimming pool hoses. When my shower head handle sprung a leak I knew this would be a good fix until I can replace it.
