iT took my grandson a few minutes to figure it out, and then he found it easy, but I would not say it is a beginner's cube.

A great puzzle for beginners who have yet to master the 3x3
My son has been fascinated by Rubiks cubes for a while now. He loves playing with them, but has yet to master the art of actually solving the thing. This, however, is perfect for him! It's tricky enough to offer a little bit of a challenge, but easy enough that a novice can solve it without getting super frustrated.The puzzle itself seems sturdy and well made. It uses coloured plastic inlays instead of stickers, so no need to worry about them peeling or fading. The box calls it a 'speed cube' but I think that's overstating it - it turns easily, but it's no speed cube. It's not magnetic, but for a puzzle like this that would seem like overkill; unfortunately, that does mean everything has to be perfectly aligned to avoid jamming but it's not enough of an issue to warrant losing a star.

This one feels nicer was cheaper and the corners didn't pop up yet the only bad thing is that it turns slow

Good fun simple cube for beginners
My 12yo son and I love solving Rubik's cubes. He's good at the Pyraminx and 2x2x2 and the Skewb. I can solve those plus the traditional 3x3x3. This one is obviously the easiest of the 3. (For reference, I'm reviewing the 1x3x3).It's a nice casual cube that can be solved without tons of effort or learning complex algorithms. My son was able to solve it in around 10 minutes.I will say, though, that the form factor of 1x3x3 does not lend itself well to speed cubing. It rotates well, but when flat it can bend a little. A 2x2x2 or 3x3x3 holds its shape better and is more suitable for speed cubing (in my opinion).But we're having tons of fun with this.
