My 6 year old nephew loved this car more than I thought he would. It works as well as I would expect for the price. It rolled great on hardwood floors.

I ordered this and the BMW i8 RC car at the same time. I did what I thought was the review on the McLaren, but turned out was the BMW. However, since both cars are made by the same manufacturer and are essentially identical both functionally with the same remote control, and the only difference being the body shape and color, the review applies to both products. In the other review I mentioned that it would be nice to have a couple other minimal features like headlights and/or a horn, etc. Not asking for functional doors, hood or trunk. The remote control fits nicely into the hands of a 9y.o., but could still be larger so a father can play with his son. Overall though, a decent entry level RC car (and who doesn't want a Beamer?

I’ll start with the build quality and looks. It’s quite nice to look at. Slightly plasticky but that’s to be expected. My son broke the plastic side mirror but he was probably being rough with it. In terms of performance, it’s good enough. It doesn’t go terribly fast. I didn’t expect it to either. The speed was just right. The controls on the remote are trivial: Left, right, forward and reverse. You need Five AA batteries - three for the car and two for the remote. My son enjoys it. If you want to get a basic RC that looks good, isn’t too fancy or expensive, simple to use, I’d recommend this.

Fun and easy to control. The car runs a good speed. Kids will enjoy playing with this.

The car is slightly smaller than I expected but it’s okay. The remote control is easy to use and fun to play with. Works as advertised and it would make a nice gift.

This is.so cute to the eye but broke easily. My 6 year old isn't the best driver and the car chipped when he crashed it into a wall. It was fun for a short time but I'd probably better as a collectible. The details were very nice and the configuration was great.

This RC car works well and is a great gift for kids, pretty cool car
