After reading other reviews found this to be something I wanted to try. I use it every night. It came quickly and the bottle is untampered with. Wonderful product.

Great product

I've never used any True Botanicals products before and had no preconceived notions about this product. It was great, though! I've used retinol before, so I didn't have any adjustment period as is sometimes necessary when using retinol. I experienced no redness or irritation. The serum absorbed well and didn't leave any residue. The serum does have a scent, but it was pleasant, and my sometimes-sensitive nose wasn't bothered by it. I always follow this with a moisturizer, and I wear sunscreen during the day.I love that this is non-toxic, vegan, and cruelty-free, which is a must for me! The only thing I didn't love was the price. However, if you're going to use a high-end product, you have to make an investment!If you can afford it, I highly recommend this serum!

No improvement after 30 days

The True Botanicals Phyto-Retinol Sleep Serum is pleasant to use. I have been regularly using retinol for over a year so my skin is adjusted. I didn't experience any irritation or excessive dryness after trying this serum.It does have a strong scent and I typically shy away from skincare with strong fragrance but this hasn't aggravated my skin or caused any breakouts. The scent is pleasant and does dissipate after the product has absorbed and I've layered it with my moisturizer.The serum didn't leave my skin tacky after dry down but my skin did feel a bit tight and dry. I use a heavier moisturizer at night so this isn't an issue for me. I'd rather pile on some extra moisturizer than have it leaving my skin feel greasy or oily.I didn't expect miraculous results because I've already been using other retinol products for so long. After 9 nights of applying, I don't notice any visible results but my skin texture feels just as smooth as when I've used my other retinol products. Usually, I can tell the difference in a few days if it's not effective. My skin starts to feel rougher and appear duller. That hasn't happened while using this product- so far, so good.This serum is pricey and the bottle is small. While I do enjoy using the product, I'd need to see more benefit before splurging $90 for an ounce of product.
