Amazing Results!
My pool service guy recently retired, leaving me with full pool maintenance. Over the past month the heat has come on and algae started growing, along with general dirt & leaf accumulation at the bottom. I've been sweeping, backwashing, adjusting chemicals, vacuuming, etc., but I just haven't been able to keep up with the demands so far. I ordered this automatic vacuum in hopes that it would save me some time & effort.I just received it this afternoon and installed it. It took about an hour, including all the hose and valve optimizations. The vacuum itself is super easy to put together. But you do have to do some calibrations to ensure the hose length is right for your pool. If not, it can get stuck in corners with steps and transitions. Once I got the length correct, I left it running and went out for dinner. Upon my return, I was shocked to see my pool cleaner than it has been in the past month. Leaves gone. Accumulated dirt gone. Just a crystal clear pool and my new vacuum doing it's thing.I had a similar looking "Kreepy Krauly" vacuum about 10 to 15 years ago. That did a decent job, but it would always get stuck at the main bottom drain, due to the flapper getting caught. The flapper on this one has upward facing edges solving that problem. The included intake valve has an adjuster on it, so you can micro-optimize the suction after adjusting your pump valves. Everything was included making this a super easy install.I couldn't be happier with this purchase! Best $99 I ever spent, and just in time to enjoy my pool for the summer!

Works great! The newer materials they use now are impressive compared to the model 2 years ago.
I bought this pool vacuum 2 years ago and it worked great for a little over a year. I replaced the diaphragm a few times and skirt with aftermarket parts but after that it never worked as good as new with the aftermarket parts. So now 2 years later from purchase I decided to buy another one because the hose and in general was getting old, brittle from sun and chlorine. The new one arrived last Saturday and what a difference the new hoses and vacuum were compared to the original 2 years ago. The hoses and the vacuum itself were upgraded with in my opinion to a way better new material which is noticeably better and flexible. I put it together and through it in the pool and it was amazing. Hauls butt around the inground pool. So far it hasn't gotten stuck once and climbs up the walls cleaning them too. I totally recommend this product. Its great! Even if it only lasts 2 years its worth $50 a year to not have to vacuum the pool all the time and have it clean and ready to swim in.

Clean your pool
Bought this unit to use on my 10,000 gallon in ground pool. My pool has a main drain valve along with a skimmer valve. For starters, the elbow connectors and regulator assembly that go into your skimmer were too short to exit the skimmer. A trip to Home Depot solved the problem, see my photos so you’ll know exactly what you’ll.All air has to be out of the lines or your pump will lose its prime. Use the supplied weight(s) to prevent the vacuum from climbing too high on pool walls where it might catch air at the top of wall causing you to lose prime. I tinkered with the weight placement a lot to find the sweet spot.Next, it requires some tinkering with your pool valves to get it just right. If my main drain is fully closed, the suction is too strong and the vacuum gets stuck on occasion due to the strong suction. Keep playing with the valves to get the perfect mix. For me, it’s approx. 75% skimmer, 25% main drain.Lastly, this unit comes with 2 diaphragms, one of which is already installed in the unit, so no need to waste time figuring out how to open up the unit to install a diaphragm, it’s already there. Stash the spare diaphragm for use at a later date.Overall, this rig is solid and it gets the job done for me. It’s worth a a hundred bucks.

Not for larger inground pools. Misses same areas, poor support.
I think this product would have worked find if the hoses were swivel ends, or product was a bit better craftsmanship/parts to allow it to adhere better to the walls. A few deficiencies:1) You'll have to increase the suction on your attached skimmer by turning off the other skimmer or main drain. Otherwise it does not have enough suction to continue.2) The hose attachments will only make it for about a 20' pool because of the way it needs some in the skimmer, and most of the hose will stay on top.3) Not happy the way you have to remove your skimmer basket and attach in the inlet pipe, which in my pool is recessed about 2 feet. it should have come with a plate to attache above the skimmer basket.4) If you do use a skimmer plate, the included adapters bring in too much air above water to allow the vacuum to work with the pump, as the pump will soon be drawing too much air once you close the other inlets to get the suction you need for this vacuum.I tried many ways to get it to function decently, but it's just not going to cut it, but it's also cheaply priced (you get what you pay) so it will work those few times a year like initial spring cleaning, etc. It's just not a dependable regular.Spend your money on a better quality vacuum.

Minor modifications but works!
This vacuum too me a bit to get working properly. I have an above ground pool and was not clear how to hook it up to my pool and sand filter pump. I had to purchase a hose adapter and makeshift a fitting for it to work but it was a cheap fix and now the vacuum works perfectly. I leave it connected and it maintains my 18’ pool great. Saves me a lot of time.
