Micro-Mark White Acrylic Primer, 8oz - Made in USA Acrylic Surface Primer for Models, Miniatures, and Crafts - desertcart.com Review: Good - Nice primer, says only brush on but works well with air brush as well, must thin down. Review: Great Brush On Primer. - This a great brush on primer for minis. I generally airbrush prime my miniatures, however, if you do the same, you are aware that it is a bit labor intensive: thinning, cleaning, tip dry, ya know the drill. Airbrush priming works great, but it takes time and patience. There are those times when I just want to paint, so I thought I would try this brush on primer to speed up that process and it works great. Two thin coats, no thinning required. Just brush it on, let it dry about 15 minutes and your mini is ready to paint. Great coverage, lays down nice and dries pretty quick. This miniature painter approves!!

Excellent for brush-on priming of pewter, plastic, and resin miniatures
This is an excellent choice for priming tabletop miniatures. It's much more time-consuming than spray-priming, but if spraying isn't an option, this is the way to go. The texture is very "micro-gritty," which doesn't sound pleasant but is *perfect* for getting paint to stick. I've applied this to pewter, ABS plastic, resin, and PVC miniatures and gotten good results every time. And since there's no accelerant (it's not a spray primer) it will work well on Reaper Bones minis, which are made of PVC, and will react negatively to some spray primers. Thus far I haven't had any problems with the primer rubbing off. I *have* had to thin it with water and apply multiple coats in a few instances, like where the model had lots of fine detail I didn't want to lose, but even one thin coat is enough to get the paint to stick. It dries more quickly than spray primer does, and I noticed no odor. In the photo: the miniature on the left (the one with the syringe) was spray-primed with Army Painter white. The miniature on the left was brush-primed with Micro-Mark white. If you zoom in you might be able to see how the AP primer is glossy, while the Micro-Mark is very matte. My only complaint: brush priming takes time, and if you try to go quickly you can end up flicking drops of primer all over your painting station.

This stuff is awesome. I bought it to be able to paint resin pieces but I also use it on wood surfaces and even cardboard. It works amazing! Takes the paint beautifully and with only much less paint also. Works for a broad range of surfaces.

Then but covers well.
Very thin but covers very well. Leaves a nice titanium White surface.

White primer that works.
So much better than the white Vallejo primer that I'd been using for my miniatures. Provides great coverage.

Great solid full coverage brush on primer.
This is actually a very good coverage brush on primer. I have tried two other brush on primers both from Vallejo and while they give okay coverage they require way more shaking and consistent mixing. The micro market brush on primer gives solid base coverage on my 3D printed minis.
