I had a builder-installed mirror (just a huge piece of glass held in place with clips) to take out that had very little purchase around the edges (see picture). By putting two of these on the glass (you can see the black circles where I outlined them with a marker, so I could tape the mirror but keep a surface for contact) my son and I managed to get it down with much less grief that otherwise. It was still a tough job (very heavy piece of glass) but we pulled it off and got it out into the garage in one piece without dropping it or cutting anything. I have another bathroom that I will be renovating and they will also be useful there. I am also planning some tile work and I think they might be good there. It might seem like a lot of money for a simple tool but they are heavy duty and work well. I usually balance off cost of a tool to do a job right versus some kind of ad-hoc rigging that might wind up with me in the ER. This tool easily wound up on the "buy this and avoid the pain later" side of the equation.

works very well on vinyl flooring. I am happy with the purchase.

We used as handholds in cultured marble shower for safety for family member during an illness. Once attached need to pull on them to make sure they are secure. This allowed us to move handholds around shower without installing a bunch of safety bars. They will rust if not properly dried after use. I recommend a blow dryer to keep from rusting. They work well on smooth surfaces only. The rubber on these suction cups does have an odor but only if hold close to your face. Otherwise we never smelled an odor from them. They worked well for us.

I had some granite given to me by a friend redoing their kitchen and bought these to help move it out of my truck. Only ended up using one of them, but am going to keep both in case I ever need them. For the price point these suckers stick HARD! I'd still be careful with something as heavy as a slab of granite but for getting a handle and pulling of just lifting enough to get your hands in under something they work GREAT! I can see them coming in very handy for moving a large mirror or glass table top.
