BOSCH GLI18V-800N 18V Multidirectional, Portable LED Worklight with Mounting Magnet and Hanging Hook (Bare Tool)

Love this light. Compact, versatile, long lasting, and bright. The magnet is great for sticking to magnetic surfaces, the hold is just strong enough without having to rip off with two hands. Also has a hook which can be used in many situations to hang quickly. Also can be set on a surface to be used. Has a lower brightness setting that is still very bright and ensures your 4ah battery with last the whole days as well as a very bright setting that offer plenty of lumens, while still lasting most of the day. The light has two axis to swivel on which making it easy to point in almost any direction. Button is easy to use and the light turns off either by using said button or by returning the light to the closed position, great for quick clean up after the job. I wish I had bought two. This is my go to light for work.

I love this light. It’s very versatile, swivels and tilts and has a magnetic bar on it and also a hook for hanging works everywhere. Love it.

The light has great rotation and angle to shine wherever you need the light. I used the hook on strut coils and could point it anywhere with good illumination. Great if you already have Bosch batteries.

Great overall Switch issue..sometimes it won't turn back on...this only seems to happen when I turn it off, and back on within a few seconds...it won't turn back on. If I wait a minute...no problem. Otherwise it's really great. Very powerful, movable light makes it perfect for any positioning. Magnet is powerful enough to hold it with an 8 battery. Overall I really like it. Kinda expensive. Used it at night to help my brother load his motorcycle onto a trailer. The magnet is very powerful, and was able to hold with an 8ah battery onto the side of the trailer. The movable head made it perfect for strapping the bike down. I could easily see into any area so I could strap without harming the bike. Also used it under the sink for a new faucet install. Again the pivoting head and low profile made it perfect for seeing up underneath wile not getting in my way or blinding me. Super versatile! Long battery life even with a 2ah battery. Would be 5 stars except for the switch. Highly reccomended!

Small, versatile and lightweight. Can be positioned for every angle you might want. I'm well invested in Bosch 18v family, so this one was no brainer.

A compact and robust job light. IMHO, of all the organizations engaged in product design, Bosch would normally rank in the top ten for ergonomic tool design. Not this time though. Why on earth did they design this with a single multi-modal button switch that serially controls both the on-off and the light intensity? The switch cycles from off, then light level 1, 2, 3 then off again. So if you want to turn it off while in light level 1, one needs to cycle through (by multiple pressings) the next two higher lighting levels and then one more time to turn it off. I cannot think of anything more perverse than bundling all these together into one switch. My message to Bosch is simple; re-design this with a separate on/off switch from the light level switch so this nice compact flashlight is free from the ergonomic annoyance of imposing extra unneeded actions each time one wants to turn the flashlight off. And too, make a retrofit kit available so this flashlight can be upgraded by the customer or a Bosch repair shop. I own a number of Bosch power tools, and they don't always get it right the first time, but at the least their tools are robust and sensibly functional. This is the first time I have been disappointed with their tool functional design. Call me out for being too fussy over industrial design ergonomics if you wish, but would you put up with a like multi-function house wall switch? I cannot think of a simpler act of turning off a power tool, and yet somehow Bosch made it an annoyance. I just hope this flashlight is an exception (and is corrected per above) and not a slow slide into future multi-modal switches/designs on other tools.
