Excellent Product
An Excellent DIY Mini-Split: Quiet, Powerful, and User-Friendly As a first-time DIY installer, I am incredibly impressed with this mini-split system. The performance is outstanding, and the unit is exceptionally quiet. Installation: The included kit is comprehensive, providing almost everything needed for installation. However, for a clean and professional-looking result, you will need to purchase the following items separately: Drill and appropriate masonry, drywall, wood bit, line set wall sleeve/guard Outdoor condenser wall mount. A vacuum pump and gauge set (essential for proper installation) I highly recommend watching instructional videos on YouTube before starting. Ensure all connectors are securely tightened, the refrigerant lines are not kinked, and you perform a thorough leak check to avoid common installation errors and the need to add refrigerant. Performance: The unit operates at a whisper-quiet level, both the indoor air handler (even on its turbo setting) and the outdoor condenser. It is a significant improvement over my previous portable floor AC, which was disruptively loud. This unit effectively cools my room, which has a west-facing window and would previously reach temperatures as high as 98^F. Now, the room temperature can comfortably be lowered to 63^F. Features: The accompanying mobile app has a clean, user-friendly interface that is simple to navigate. Overall, I highly recommend this unit for its exceptional performance, quiet operation, affordable and manageable DIY installation process

This thing is awesome!
Why did you pick this product vs others?: My unit ia 23 SEER which is better than most. Air quality: Works fantastic. Helps me sleep at night by keeping my bedroom cold without having to cool the whole house so cold. Saves a lot on my electric bill. Build quality: Excellent and was easy to self install. Cooling ability: Cold, cold, cold! Love it. Remote control: Remote could be better. The display is too small for poor old eyes. The all on my phone is much better to control it but it occasionally gets unpaired and is difficult to reconnect. Also could use controls on the unit so you can still operate it if the remote breaks or is lost. Noise level: Is extremely quiet!

Quality product
Not disappointed. Installs easily and works per design. This heat pump puts out a large volume of heat quickly. I'm delighted to say I have a heated garage! This is my second DELLA heat pump I've installed for myself.

Super customer service, unit works well!
What a fun project challenge that I am glad I undertook. ***This is not an installation for those who are not mechanically inclined*** However, I have done major renovations on several of my residences over the years and had the cahones to take the leap into what I previously considered to be a magical realm. You will need a vaccum pump, R410A adapter, pressure gauge rig (comes with pump), and I really advise a torque wrench with adjustable wrench head (unless you're sure you have the flare nut sockets needed for the lineset diameters of your system). Overall, ~$170 for these if you don't have them already (pricing as of ~Dec'24) I also got Nylog Blue... not sure if I needed it, but it didn't hurt. I did a relatively unconventional installation in that I routed a 25' lineset from the left side of the unit, flush with the wall. My condensate line was also run on a slightly sloped horizontal run indoors, then diverted outside. (I installed this in a finished portion of the basement that allowed me to run the lines through a wall and along an unfinished interior wall of an adjacent area). Caution: if you are using a wall-mount bracket for the outside unit, know that, even with thick rubber vibration damping feet, the compressore section will telegraph a low intensity hum/vibration through the wall studs to the interior space. this is interesting, since there is extremely quiet operation of the unit outdoors otherwise. in my case, the hum was in the unfinished space, thus not relevant. if you will install against a wall in a finished space, I recommend a ground slab mount (on a raised mount if you're in snowfall country). I haven't gotten the app/wifi function running yet, but the hand remote is great. The unit takes a minute or two to fire up and equilibrate, so don't expect it to turn on a dime when you switch modes or temperatures. but, it runs essentially as quietly as the Mitsusbishi units that I had professionally installed at one of my former homes. Wishes: there does not appear to be a setting in which the fan periodically circulates air to mix the air in the room and keep it uniformly conditioned. Since I have high ceilings, and I needed to mount this at about 8 feet up, the air is stratified and is at a different temperature up higher than the rest of the room at 'living' levels (~3-6 feet up). There is a fan-only setting, but this is not in heat or cool mode. I found customer support through the chat remarkably responsive and effective. There is no other way to get in touch with the company. But, rest assured, THEY ARE THERE and respond within a minute or two. All questions were answered quickly and effectively. Where I found an error in the manual that led me to order the wrong diameter lineset, they quickly refunded me so I could buy the right one. (on this note, it would be more convenient and less wasteful to allow the customer to pick the right lineset length when ordering. in the end, I was left with the original 16 foot lineset that came with the unit. (note: the unit comes pre-charged wth enough refrigerant for a 25 foot lineset!) I should also note that there was a small dent in the outdoor unit base due to shipping damage. Look like a forklift might have pierced the box. It was cosmetic only and didn't impact the function of the unit. And, it turned out that my installation location has it largely hidden from plain sight. So, now it's up to seeing how durable the unit is. Otherwise, I would TOTALLY buy another of these when I come across another project like this.

Its a little workhorse. / REVISED review after 1.5 years of use.
I have an apartment in a shop where I stay overnight sometimes. I added this mini split to the bedroom area. The bulk of the shop has central A/C but I didn't want to keep it on when I am not there. This Della takes the place of being able to keep it on economically and remove humidity. I calculated that (in Florida) it costs me $23 per month to run and it stays on all the time in dehumidify mode. It is very quiet (when in Cool Mode) and the separate swinging air feature (left-right and up/down) is great. I took off 1 star because its lost its Wi-Fi connection twice since new. Not to bad to reconnect but without it I cant drop the temp when I am planning on visiting in advance or switch to heat if needed. I would buy it again. UPDATE Jan 2026 - now in use for 1.5 yrs Still a great split system for my needs WiFi connectivity continues to be a issue and it can be expected to drop remote access about monthly. Simple breaker reset and 30 second pause on off and all good again. Annoying but tolerable. I would revise my original 4 stars to 3.5 because of this. It only happens when I need to drop the temp down prior to arriving but it does cool the room fast in manual mode.
