Good stuff.
I have 3.5 sets and am very happy (mostly) with them. The only flaw I've encountered is that I somehow managed to rip the cable out of one insole.I use them in ski boots, hiking boots, and cyling shoes and get about 4 hours of life out of Amazon basics 2400 mah AA batteries. I carry extra battery packs and swap them out when the batteries are discharged.I do recommend these but be very careful with the power cable and don't pull on it.

Okay but not durable
They worked okay for most of one season, but after a dozen or so days of use one of them got really hot, and then stopped working. Clearly a short occurred and made me glad I had on thick socks or I may have gotten burned before it quit. I'd be okay to replace them but don't find any way to order a replacement insole or even set of insoles. I got new ski boots this year and so far my feet are staying warm without the hassle of these. But the idea of them is okay if you only need a slight bit of warmth. Put them UNDER your footbeds or they will bunch up as you put your boots on. The battery packs had just enough to last a day (5-6hrs) of skiing if you kept them set to low-medium, half day (<3hrs) if set to high. They are still working for a buddy I know who got a pair.

Not worth it
I put brand new batteries in these when I received them. I turned them on high and stood on them barefoot for 5 minutes. I didn’t feel anything. I held them against my face for another 2-3 minutes, didn’t feel anything. Returned them the next day.

Double AA battery pack model review.
This is a review for the double AA battery pack model. I bought this model and the other one with the proprietary battery packs. The double AA battery pack model doesn't provide enough heat for me. The proprietary battery pack model does. I contacted the company and they confirmed this. I f you get cold feet fast like me, buy the more expensive model and they warm my freezing feet within 15 minutes while i'm sitting in my blind during the hunt at 20 degrees F.

Great but a little difficult to deal with if walking a lot.
Pros: They work! Feel heat almost instantly! I use them for hunting and my toes stay toasty while in the stand.Cons: Battery life - one set of batteries lasts about 3 - 4 hours. Rechargeable batteries are a must! The battery pack slips out of its pocket that's strapped to your ankle after walking for a bit.

Good for the price!
Battery packs are a bit bulky, but when used with rechargeable batteries, you really can't go wrong for the price. I bought them out of curiosity, and may consider upgrading to a more expensive Li-on version in the future.

Toasty Tootsies
These really work well. They heat up just as advertised. However, the battery packs are bulky and only worked for three hours and take 4 AA batteries for EACH insole. Not sure how long term these are, but my wife enjoyed 3 hours of warm feet.

Fantastic for three hours only, heating takes alot of power whatever you're trying to heat
These really are fantastic foot warmers. They get really hot and toasty. I tried with several types of AA batteries -- cheap (150 for $29, AmazonBasics 48 $14.99), medium/high cost Energizer (24 $17.87), rechargeable (Amazon 2400mAh 4-pak $9.60, already had charger) -- and, you know what? All types lasted three hours before starting to loose heat, and battery pack starts flashing (indicating battery drain) for a very few minutes. The rechargeables were significantly discharged. The reality is that any heating takes a huge amount of power whether you're using a small heater, heating pad/blanket/shawl. So, the fact these get so lovely hot and toasty with AA batteries is really fantastic. You just have to accept you'll need to replace batteries alot if you need for long use per day. I only allow myself one time per night as I go to bed, so that's eight batteries per day.I live in a van and have been using HotHands/Bio-World/Dollarama insole warmers (9, 8, 6 hours respectively). They were super expensive this year or not available when I needed so I tried these. The price when I bought (early Dec) was $34.95 -- a bit steep but worth a try, I felt. Wouldn't buy them now 07Jan22 price listed is $81.57.

DOESNT WORK
Bought them for when I’m working up in the mountains. They warmed up for about 30 secs and then just nothing after that. I check the light and it’s off and I hit the button again to turn back on but don’t feel anything even when red light is on. No settings, runs off AA. No way of knowing if it’s heating up or not but just a red light and I didn’t feel a thing for hours. Feet still cold. DONT BUY
