Extreme Ghostbusters: The Complete Series [DVD]

Ignore the negative reviews. I have a Sony blue ray player and a regular Samsung television, and the qualityof this release is terrific. Color, picture, sound, all excellant. I honestly don't knowwhat the complaints are about. I grew up in the days of analog broadcast tv,and a night when you could get decent reception of all three networks was a minormiracle.(And some of the shows were in black and white - yeah, really prehistoric!). If you're a fan of the original franchise, this series is like the Missing Link of the Ghostbusters canon. It's wonderful to finally have it out on dvd.

I’m a 90s baby and one of my earliest memories was watching Extreme Ghostbusters. Like so many 90s cartoons, I was afraid that the series would never see the light of day again because over the years I’ve looked for a complete series set but to no avail. Thank God it’s finally available to purchase in a physical form. This was an awesome series and definitely worth the price! I highly recommend it if you’re a fan of Ghostbusters and all things 90s nostalgia. The package itself showed up perfectly fine, no damage or complaints from me whatsoever.

I was worried by all the reviews this got criticizing it, but for a 1997 series, it's great. Only thing wrong with the show is the strobing effect that occurs when they're firing off their proton packs, so photo-sensitive viewers beware.

I'm genuinely just happy this cartoon has a physical release. It's some of the best Ghostbusters media ever created, and one of the best 90s cartoons to date. I do however wish they'd just release these on bluray to save on discs and also to get better quality. Even a 4:3 show can benefit from less file compression.

Its a continuation from the Real Ghostbusters.
