Extreme Ghostbusters: The Complete Series [DVD]

I'm genuinely just happy this cartoon has a physical release. It's some of the best Ghostbusters media ever created, and one of the best 90s cartoons to date.I do however wish they'd just release these on bluray to save on discs and also to get better quality. Even a 4:3 show can benefit from less file compression.

This DVD bundle was a trip down memory lane. It is a nice family friendly show and give a nice addition to the Ghostbuster universe. The stories are entertaining and well written. It is a must buy, if you love anything ghostbusters. It compliments the orinal animated series quite nicely.

I was worried by all the reviews this got criticizing it, but for a 1997 series, it's great.Only thing wrong with the show is the strobing effect that occurs when they're firing off their proton packs, so photo-sensitive viewers beware.

Ignore the negative reviews. I have a Sony blue ray player and a regular Samsung television, and the qualityof this release is terrific. Color, picture, sound, all excellant. I honestly don't knowwhat the complaints are about. I grew up in the days of analog broadcast tv,and a night when you could get decent reception of all three networks was a minormiracle.(And some of the shows were in black and white - yeah, really prehistoric!).If you're a fan of the original franchise, this series is like the Missing Link of theGhostbusters canon. It's wonderful to finally have it out on dvd.

Was disappointed the bottom of the case was broken 😕

I’m a 90s baby and one of my earliest memories was watching Extreme Ghostbusters. Like so many 90s cartoons, I was afraid that the series would never see the light of day again because over the years I’ve looked for a complete series set but to no avail. Thank God it’s finally available to purchase in a physical form. This was an awesome series and definitely worth the price! I highly recommend it if you’re a fan of Ghostbusters and all things 90s nostalgia. The package itself showed up perfectly fine, no damage or complaints from me whatsoever.

I jumped on preordering this the second it was announced. I really was hoping Sony had something nice for us but they don’t. This release feels as though I would have bought it for $10 in a bootleg shop. The transfer feels like VHS with no work to clean it up, there are no special features, the artwork is rehashed, and its also been used for EGB released in other territories and even bootlegs. The picture quality is so bad in the pilot episode that I thought my eyes were messing up in spots.While its nice to have them all together I can’t recommend this at a full price point but maybe on deep discount. Sony sent this as a cheap cash grab with VHS transfer. Shame on them. If I could score this at 2.5/5 I would so I am rounding down.

Been waiting along time for this to come to dvd and it's finally here and in my possession it's pretty good I checked all disc's amd their working great quality of the show is great too. Thank you Sony Pictures, Columbia Pictures and Ghost Corps for putting this incredible series and thank you Amazon for selling it. :)

Some genuinely spooky moments and some chuckles from time to time. I do wish there were some special features or even a retrospective with the writers/cast though.
